I enjoyed watching you gently doing your daughter's hair - my experiences growing up were so painful that I asked my mom to shave my head! Dad told her to put in a relaxer, and I relaxed for decades. Finally all natural now, but actually got hair headaches as I attempted to grow it out initially. Took 3 tries (gave in and put in a child's relaxer when I couldn't take the headaches anymore!) to get back to completely all natural curls. Actually shaved my head for a year too - always wondered what I looked like bald. My head wasn't really as huge as I imagined, funnily enough.

im not a mother so i'd like to ask, don't tight ponytails create tension that could cause tension alopecia in the long run? im from a country where the black population is really low and i'm not really educated on textured hair, people here just let their children's hair mostly down and wash it every day or every other day. im genuinely curious, is it better to keep the hair down or is it better for it to be up to avoid damage and knots? ps your children are precious!

Also - UNITE Hair 7Seconds Detangler (Amazon) is supposed to be amazing. Just purchased. Wish I knew about this prior to my spending 117 hours trying to detangle multi knotted hair and cutting out & pulling out chunks (just read that it may/may not grow back, depending on how it's been pulled out).

I'm an only parent. I came online to find some videos that would help me do my daughter's hair, your baby girl is so cute 😍. My daughter is Puerto Rican and I am her biological Papi. Though my daughter's hair is not as kinky curls, so I'm struggling because her Mami was a beautician and a nurse. She went to school for both. I tried to learn what I could while her Mami was still with us and I'm struggling to design her hair. I don't know enough to style it though sometimes I just look at women's hair and their daughters' and go home to figure it out on my daughter's hair. I wish I could show you my daughter's hair. I do have some of those combs already I've been doing my daughter's hair for two years. The videos I have found don't have my daughter's hairstyle, is there anything you can suggest.

So so cute,im a hairdresser too but i don't have a girl but a boy and i have the same trick TV and something Sweet .even while cutting his Hair i have to put his favorite cartoons or it take an 1 hours to cut his hair instead of 15 minutes (they move so much and don't want to be touched) .we find are own tricks as parents 😅

Your kids are adorable! The baby is so giggly I cannot 🤣🤣🤣 Initially I was like Gias hair doesnt look that thick while it was in the pigtails but when you took them out....wow. btw, for the little plastic hair ties, instead of scissors you can get some lemon juice (or any citrus oil works I think) in like a drip bottle, they snap off immediately for some reason.

So my granddaughter is mixed with the curliest hair. Her dad my son brings her over with her hair tangled. So I’m watching some videos. I was a single dad with my daughter who is grown now but I always did her hair. She had straight hair and now my lil baby granddaughter has curly hair.
