Thank you for mentioning the whole "treat curls equally" :) I don't get the devacut logic. I have wavy hair and each piece can be wavier or straighter from one day to the next - it never waves exactly the same. So why do people think it's a good idea to cut hair curl-by-curl based on the curliness of that day? 1) It'll curl differently the next time you style it, and 2) it won't be even if you decide to style your hair straight.
@BrittneyGray5 жыл бұрын
AGREE. Especially if you plan in straightening your hair ever.It's going to look so uneven and stringy.

Love working on curly hair! I'm excited to learn more tips and tricks on how to cut curly hair, and to learn how to improve my skills
@Tatt175 жыл бұрын
TheWhiskeyBlue never use thinning shears, working on their dry natural texture the way they come in I have found is best , always be aware of ur tension and over direction , using less tension is the absolute best, cut the curl where it lives. Texturizing shears will DESTROY the hair. Look up deva curl videos

Cut looks great on her but I would have probably started to panic about getting a curly cut on combed out hair. My hair has so many textures: wavy on top, curly in the middle, looser on the bottom, frizzy at the crown. Last cut I had was on combed out wet hair and so the shape wasn’t completely even after it dried. I left the salon with wet hair so I had to rock with it. Can’t figure out how to get a minimal trim with a great shape from a stylist.
@lydiathompson86185 жыл бұрын
she said that's why she likes to do it that way because the texture changes and is different. You can still decipher how the hair will look even when you comb it out. I agree, though, you shouldn't comb the wet hair out and cut. I have different textures but I never had a problem if my hair was brushed out and dry.
