Max Maxwell is a wholesaler, meaning he finds deeply discounted deals, ties them up under contract, then assigns them to an end buyer for a fee. Today Max tells us about his journey, from discovering he was dyslexic to joining the Air Force (“getting shot at for $20K/year”) to going broke (twice!). After all that, Max shares how he ultimately enrolled in “KZbin University” to learn the art of wholesaling.
You’ll love the story of how Max’s business really took off when he delegated a weakness (data collection) and instead doubled down on his strengths (marketing and sales). Max also walks us through how to hire an overseas virtual assistant and how his first “V.A.” came to hire other team members once he began to scale up. He goes on to break down the structure of his business and reveal which marketing techniques brought in his juiciest deals.
Max runs through his dos and don’ts for building a personal brand, as well as describes how he’s been able to build four businesses based on his wholesaling! Plus, if you know anything about Max, you know he’s a smooth negotiator. So, we asked him which skills are most crucial when developing rapport or closing a deal.
Whether you’re in the real estate business or not, this episode is full of actionable advice for getting out of your own way and designing a well-oiled machine that works for you. So, don’t miss this one, AND don’t forget to subscribe, rate, and review the podcast on your favorite app!

Everyone in the wholesale biz knows of Max. He's figured out the puzzle and has really stepped on the gas to escalate his business into 7 figures in a very short time span using various systems he implements. Kudos to Max, great interview!

Please when interviewing a knowledgable and articulate guest please don’t 1) interrupt him constantly, 2) answer the questions for him, 3) ask leading questions, 4) editorialize between every question. Let the man talk and share his knowledge.

Hey Josh - Thanks for the feedback (I'm the co-host of the show)! Not making any excuses and I agree with you! Would like to point out that this was actually the very first podcast that we recorded (this one was released out of order), and we were just figuring out how to be good hosts. Hopefully we've gotten better over the past few months, and thank you for your patience while we continue to work on it!

I thought they did a great job. Sometimes when the guys do podcasts they stop talking for tens of minutes while the guest goes on and sometimes digresses from the point. I think they did a good job keeping the guest on track with the questions that were being asked. But to each their own I suppose.

Watched this whole thing hoping the hosts would ask the obvious questions about wholesaling - what it is, the process of doing it, THEN all the ancillary things he’s done for his business. Great guest, but the interviewers never got to the nuts and bolts of wholesaling. Maybe this was for people other than beginners. I got little from this and he’s a rock star wholesaler.

$100K per month!! Just from wholesaling!!! So the profit spreads from each deal would be 1 deal at $100k or 2 deals at $50k each or 3 deals at $33k each or 5 deals at $20k each or 4 deals at $25k each or 25 deals at $4k each or 20 deals at $5k each, 10 deals at $10k each, 8 deals $12.5k each PER MONTH!!! God-bless him. A month is a short period of time (he must have a lot of leads)
