"Specifically about starting a company?" Damn Charles was about to drop some heat if you said anything but yes to that

So my sons are millionaires. They didn't get married until they achieved their goal. And that took them 5 years of 24/7 effort. They also made a key observation "if we think that we're so smart, then we should try to become successful employers instead of employees. There wasn't anything magical, (except that they were computer fluent), about what they did. They just had tenacity of purpose.

Amazing how you can learn so much more from an entrepreneur who doesn't care or know anything about the markets compared to all the other guests that spent decades literally studying the markets...

How does FB “depend on low interest rates”? … Nothing has “permanent value” anyway. All degrees of ephemera. A question of value really: How much ephemera for what price?

I'm not disagreeing but I also think the consumer contributes and helps create the monopoly. We've all been confronted with a better product or service but still buy Coca-Cola and how many people do we all know will refuse to buy anything but an Apple product until the day they die based on brand loyalty? A Louis Vuitton purse is no better than other brands but social status overrides peoples logic for a better more affordable product. Walmart didn't put the local family run grocery store out of business consumers did by choosing to shop at Walmart instead.

Many are building their businesses around a better monetary system. One where it’s units are infinitely divisible, not infinitely producible.
@modelmark11 ай бұрын
The guy contradicts himself. First he said these big merged companies lobby government to prevent competition, then he argues government needs to get more power to prevent monopolies. While the government IS a monopoly itself. So this empirical proven 'doesn't work' is wrong. You don't have lassez fair, so outcome you see is not frommlassez fair, but outcome from everyone merging and lobbying government for a government enforced moat. It's the outcome of government force, stop arguing for more government.

He literally has a manifesto if you want to understand how he holds these in tension: a government of unlimited means but drastically limited in scope: basically like many governments pre-1789.
