If you disassemble your passenger seat you could put the cushions coverings on your driver's seat you might need to make a few holes for the seat adjustments controls
@wownewstome61234 жыл бұрын
New Subscriber here. I hope you don't mind a reminder about safety. Per the CDC: "A small leak in the exhaust system can lead to a build up of CO inside the car." (As you know, that can be deadly.) The CDC also says, ""Have a mechanic check the exhaust system of your car or truck every year." A couple more good reminders: Keeping your engine tuned up also decreases the amount of CO released. And if you ever drive with the trunk (or a tailgate) open, be sure to have all your windows open, too, and vents on since Carbon Monoxide will be pulled in through the back of the vehicle.
@wownewstome61234 жыл бұрын
I'm not clear on what happens when a car's seat is removed. Did it leave behind holes that bolts used to fill? If so, you filled them, right? (To prevent car exhaust and CO from entering.) Sorry if I sound like a parent! Maybe you don't need these reminders, but it could help a random reader. Who knows?

I would suggest trying to get a bigger SUV or station wagon because with your head trapped in that small hole it will be uncomfortable. Also if you can go electric go electric because then you won’t feel bad about keeping AC on all night and it can be charging all night too. Also get window blockers and make a completely pitch black area where you will sleep. Ideally from outside it should look like a normal car with dark tint windows, but inside totally opaque. Finally if you can get bullet proof glass on all windows or some other kind of window reinforcement, do that.

You need thicker foam or you're going to keep having pain. Side sleepers require a bit more plushness for the pressure points in your shoulders and hips. Pretty cool set up though.

I did the exact same thing for a few months in a 96 Toyota Camry . There was enough room to actually put a platform in behind the drivers seat and the back seat behind the drivers side came off completely so my lower half was in the trunk it’s actually almost 7 feet of space from the back of the trunk to the back of the driver seat pushed forward. Then I got tired of the set up process every day and I put two tubs from homedepot which were just about 12 inches tall were the passenger Used to be and that made a relatively flat platform with an unfolded cardboard box on top of it from Home Depot also. Add a 25 dollar foam pad from Lowe’s and that was the set up. Same exact thing as yours but realistically I did it for about 40 bucks

Just a suggestion , since you like driving and delivery how about you apply for a courier job in Austin and surrounding area as courier for laboratory specimens and hospital stuff. They are companies like Labcorp, CPL, Medspeed., etc. You could work full time and they will provide you with service vehicle or just part time or just contract so that you can use your own time. It is usually easier and reliable, probably pays better. But it maybe boring for you, less excitement than the food delivery. Sorry, this is just a suggestion.
