Fabulous cabinet. One of the greatest gifts you can give a child is the joy of reading. Both my kids are adults now. I miss those days of reading them stories and doing voices for all the characters. My daughter would complain when her dad read to her because he either didn't do the voices or he didn't "do them right!" according to her.

My daughter does complain when I don’t do the voices right either. Thanks for reminding me that I’m in one of the most enjoyable and memorable moments with my kids. It also feels fun to read a total of ~30 books in a month. Where it takes me 30 days to read other books

Really beautiful! Nice trick with the drill spacer block

Thank you and that was something I was thinking about editing out because no one would know what I might be hard for some to understand

@@wafflebeaver Leave it in, it’s good. Makers/woodworkers/carpenters know what you’re talking about. I’ve wanted something like that ever since seeing solid metal ones on “How It’s Made” years ago before I got into woodwork. Your tip made this idea come full circle!

Love how the upper curved sides and the curved door plays together!

Thanks, as one of your biggest fans, I feel honored. What do you think about a curved cat restroom enclosure?
@tonxmodern44363 жыл бұрын
@@wafflebeaverThanks! I once had a cat restroom enclosure design. But I can't find it anymore lol. So it's basically an extruded cat face, and the "cat's" big mouth is the door lol.

Looks great next to the side table. Well done taking on the curves, they came out well.

Thanks for watching (since it has such a low hit-rate). I do love this bookcase. My daughter loves jumping over this bookcase too. One of my more favorite projects to date.

I have books everywhere in the house. I like your design.

Haha doesn’t matter how many book cases you have, you will still have books everywhere.

Good job wafflebeaver! Curves are always tricky to do in wood but you pulled it off smoothly. Look forward to other projects as needs arise.

Thanks uncle. I’m trying not to design like an civil engineer . It’s tough though.

Yeah it's like a video game to me too. So much different directions it can go.

Nice build man...That curve! I tried once and bailed. This was a lot of work

I should mention that I offset my cuts on the shaper before the finish pass. Don't you do the same thing on your cuts?

I think doing large curves/radius is annoying because the scan takes a bit of time.
