I appreciate y’all’s honesty! Also appreciate your cutting 5/8” of both pieces to keep everyone symmetrical! I’d have cheaped out and cut 1-1/4” off of one! Lol! I’m additionally jealous that your mistakes are always too long. Mine are always too short, requiring another trip to the lumber yard! Thanks for posting!

Wonderful piece. I agree, fence pickets are so inconsistent but really look good when finished. Thanks!

I appreciate all the time and effort you put into creating this video. I would like to suggest shortening the screw driving sequences down, either through fast motion segments, or showing a small portion before cutting to the next step. Build wise, starting at the ends and working towards the middle might be helpful. Drive screws up through the top band into the top trim for a cleaner look. Maybe add some small feet to improve drainage and allow the bottom to dry out somewhat between waterings.

Math gives me a headache! I find it is easier to "cut to fit" then if I'm going to mass produce something....more than one LOL, then I take the measurements from the first one I did.

Thanks for watching. That's a good way to do it. Once you make the first one, then you have the template for the rest. Happy Woodworking!

Don't use your fingers to spread glue. You could get splinters. Use a glue roller instead.

Thanks for watching. It would be better to use a roller or silicone brush, but we had the wood sanded nice and smooth. There were no splinters to worry about. Happy Woodworking!
