This is part 3 on how to build a super low cost (cheap) Chute Blocker / Cover opener for your lawn mower, zero turn, Ferris. This build was done on a 61 inch Ferris ISX 800.
This build was inspired by a build I saw on Facebook. I have modified mine to fit my needs. I hope you find this useful and it helps you build your own.

Where did you find those little swivels that's on the rod that lifts the chute? You did a really nice job on your mower ad well as your Dad's. I'm gonna try to do one for my Toro 60 in. Thank you for your time.

I ended up ordering a 12-volt 2-inch actuator and welded it up with all aluminum I didn't want a big handle sticking up

I no longer use it as I found living on land I just didn’t need it as much as I thought I would. But I made one for my Dad and he love his. Uses it every week for the past several years.

The joint connectors I got on amazon here is a link. Rotary 3/8" Male & Female Ball Joint / Tie Rod End www.amazon.com/dp/B06XXRT2TV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_A133EbSFDJXV8 The rod size is 3/8 inch. Thank you and you are very welcome.

jarocho moreno So these are the measurements I took: Main pole is 33 1/2, the rod with fittings is 34 1/2, the quarter round part is 4 3/4 and the handle is 11 with a bend starting from the top of the handle at 5. These are all in inches. I hope this helps. When I made this it was almost all my eye so I didn’t write down the measurements at that time.
