Day 2 : It’s our second day back on Honeybelle Island! Revisiting my OG island Cocobelle to 2.0ify it. Let’s build a citycore entrance! Speed build for a street view citycore style entrance Checking out the digs, and getting familiar with the layout. Deciding what areas to flatten and what to keep can be difficult, but we’re in this together and I’m really excited to share the redesign and redecorating process with you all. The struggle is real! I’ve definitely had a couple island layouts where resident services is only 5 squares away from the airport, and they are for sure a challenge to decorate that way. A train track goes well in a small entrance like that. Have a wonderful week! 😊💕

This is GORGEOUS!! I’m currently working on a really simple island, I dunno if it counts as towncore, but I’m just trying not to do anything that’s large scale, just a simple town. I’m super proud of it so far! And it has the same layout as my first ever island, so it’s super nostalgic! I don’t have any big grand entrances, but that’s Ok, I don’t want one! I love this is land sm.

Hey there!! Thank you so much! I’m so happy you enjoyed the build and I appreciate your kind words so much. So, I didn’t create those particular custom codes myself. I downloaded them from the custom design portal. You can access those at Able Sisters as long as you have Nintendo online and search for them with the MA codes (maker codes) which will bring up anything that creator has uploaded. Just choose them square by square and save them to available spaces on your pattern app on your nook phone. It’s great for paths and signs especially. 🥰

I’m sorry, don’t plan on making additional videos for this particular island since it is completed, but I will be doing more city islands in the future as it is my favorite theme, so I can keep a bike area in mind for future builds for you. Hey Ariel! So I looked at it closely and I think it covers the gap better because it’s a custom design pattern that isn’t missing a pixel. Yinno how some custom design patterns purposefully have a single pixel missing so that they will conform to the shape over an in-game path? I believe this particular pattern of sidewalk is a full pattern with no missing pixel, so it layers more fully over the grass. I hope I explained that ok, lol. If you give it a try to test it, please let me know if that worked. 🥰 Have a wonderful day!

Hey there! Tysm, I’m so happy you enjoyed the video and that it brought you inspo. 🥰 So, I don’t recall if that road patten has separate additional squares for parking spaces. I think I was able to create some by using the side pieces of the road with the line and the plain middle square to space it out. There are also a few crosswalk pieces & bike parking pieces to the pattern that were helpful. I believe the creator codes should be listed in the description for you. I think, if I’m not mistaken it’s random, so you might see them at any give day at either location if that makes sense. I looked it up on Nookipedia online and under each of the items it should say where you can obtain them. Those ones are random. Most days my HHP store has different items for sale than what my Cranny has which is nice. It kind of makes the odds better of getting them. 🤗🤗

Hey Cora! No prob! You should be able to get the building side from either nook’s cranny randomly for sale or from Happy Home Paradise on any given day it’s for sale there. The Ok motors sign you can get with a special code you enter into the Nintendo shop after playing pocket camp up to a certain level on your phone, the code should unlock the ability to buy several exclusive items including the sign at your nooks kiosk in resident services in acnh. 😉💕

Hey there! I say go for whatever style you enjoy creating most. If you like creating faux buildings, citycore can be really fun. I like city islands because they can be really great to change out the builds periodically if you get bored or tired of a certain area on your island it’s nice to be able to redo select areas, and they can be fun to change out themes seasonally too for holidays. Lots of potential for variety for a forever island. 😊 Have a great week!

Hey Lisa! Most of the items you can find randomly for sale at Nook’s Cranny or the Happy Home Paradise shop if you have the DLC. An easier way to get them might be to find a friend that has one you can catalog, or post in a trusted ACNH Facebook group that you are looking for those specific items. Some people also have had good luck using treasure islands or Nookazon. I hope that helps, have a lovely day. 😊💕

I say do what you love in the game either way. If you love what you have, then keep that, but it’s always fun to try something new, and for me, trying a new theme on my island has kept the game fresh and new even after several years of no new content. Hey there! That’s actually super awesome you have an island with your town hall right across from your airport. I love those islands! You could definitely switch around this same design and do a smaller crosswalk or bike parking area in front of the gate, and off to the side recreate this larger area with the bus station. I’ve also done an entrance on my other island Sugarbelle with train tracks and a train 🚂 with my town hall being very close directly across from the airport. Hii! I also do citycore (I love it sm!) I’m wondering whether is should make my roads 3 or 5 wide. I do wanna use minicars, but if I do 5 I feel like I don’t have much space left for builds. You do it 3 wide (as I saw in the vid), but I don’t really know anything. Could you please help me out?

Hi Femke! For sure, It is definitely a challenge working out spacing. I think you could fit more builds on your island by doing 3 space roads. Maybe compromise and do a couple areas with the larger road to create a street view with cars and then smaller roads in areas where you need more space for buildings. I have some spaces on my current island that have the wider road with the cars placed and other areas where I made a 2 space one way style roads to save squares so I could fit buildings in better. Either way, go with what you like the look of best. I hope that helps, I’m sure it will turn out awesome! 🤗
