Loved the closeup of the funny trowel-it was really cool to see how it works. This video showed the real side of concrete work. There’s allot of problems that come up abs that’s just how it goes. Excellent pour!!!

I have a big question. I need to ask, in multiple videos you guys have tied in whatever new slab you were pouring into the existing slab/foundation. If you ever demolish that new swab, and need to remove those rebar ties into an old foundation, how do you remove those?
@OdellCompleteConcrete4 ай бұрын
The concrete crack off around the dowels or you could cut along the seam .

At 16:00, without fiber and curing compound, you predict cracks maybe as early as 1-3 days. ... How was the original driveway installed, and did it have any cracking like you would expect, with current quality concrete in a new driveway made without fiber and CC? How do the 2 driveways compare today and a year from now? I don't think fiber was used in the first DW as it is kind of a new thing isn't it?
@OdellCompleteConcrete3 ай бұрын
Yes, fiber was used on the first original driveway. It's very common in hot dry climates.

We got one truck, they forgot to put the fiber in. The next truck we couldn’t see fiber. The plant manager guaranteed there was fiber. The plant manager was so mad he drove an hour out to the job site. Sure enough, the last couple yards all the fiber came out all matted and balled up. The fiber wasn’t mixed well at all. Cement cracked all over the place. Bad batch. No discounts. That was back when it was cheap $220/yard3000psi. Now they want $400
