Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure, exploration and factory automation elements where you can build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch.
In the distant future, the power of science and technology has ushered a new age to the human race. Space and time have become irrelevant thanks to virtual reality. another benefit of the poles is that, with exceptopn of Logistics or storage, it's not beneficial to build much else on the poles.

JD... Question.... what does the "Longitude of (AN)" mean? Do you have a part of a video that explains it? Or is it (like the rest of the orbits thing)... all for show?

Seasons doesn't work from the orbit around the gaz giant but from the orbit around the Sun.

Is it just me or do these collectors not really generate a lot of energy particularly when considering the effort required to set this all up? For example even a Ray Collector at max power (which seems really hard to get to) is only equivalent to about 15x windmills...

Does a Dyson sphere need more elements on a bigger orbit? Maybe we should build our sphere on the minimal orbit -- the energy will be the same (will it ?) for less components.

Before I go to far with building my first sphere I was wondering If you make a sphere that is bigger than the orbit of your inner most planet and put ray receivers on the north and south poles of this planet would you get power all the time since one set would be pointed at the sun and the other at the inside of the sphere? Also Do you need to keep a hole in the sphere so that your mech and the ships can get out to other planets or can you pass thorough without damaging it? I know the video is a year old but I just bought the game and if anyone is still playing it I would appreciate the assistance.

i believe that the largest orbit may have a higher overall output as you should be able to fit more sails into each orbit

Ive dumped 15K sails into the smallest obrit to test, If there is a limit I havn't seen it

Been thinking about it for a while, but how exactly do energy exchangers work? Do they need line of sight like ray receivers, or do they just magically transport energy regardless? This is kinda relevant, since as far as i can understand, Ray receivers work similar to solar panels, and thus scale with solar rate, and if that's true, im kinda wondering if it would be more optimal to just put ray recievers on lava planet and then ship back power via the energy exchangers.

energy exchangers if its the building im thinking of, what it should be called is something closer to accumulator quick charge/discharger... it charges them super fast and thats about it

I am curious how you deploy the permanent sphere. I am guessing you have to launch the frames, but I am not sure how that works.

As the start planet surrounds the gas giant I set up my rail guns on another planet (btw., 100% construction space planets seem nice but they are boring ^^). I am not sure if the gas giant is really blocking sun / solar sail launches.

It is sometimes, but honestly its such a small fraction of the time popping down 1 extra railgun to would MORE then account for the time blocked!

Do sails have limited lifetime in the Dyson sphere (unlike in a swarm)?

Nope once in the sphere they last forever!

are you sure the receivers stack? I had like 20 receivers, destroyed 19 of them and my power generation didn't change at all...

each one can receive upto 12.5mw of power (fully upgraded) before they max out, if your under that it doesn't matter. if your over that and you destroy half of them then your power levels would drop

Upto the limit of your Swarm YES!

@@JDPlays How do you know when you hit the limit of your swarm? The ray receiver has a "dyson sphere status" which the denominator is presumably the max capacity of your swarm, but the numerator can easily go over that due to the continuous receiving bonus, so it's not clear when you hit the limit.

Just power, and power on other planets is a nice touch.... late game you will need the extra power from a swarm/sphere

You only need a swarm to build the sphere to later generate photons with the ray receivers to create anti-matter. Once you get anti-matter, you can fuel artificial stars and that solves all of your energy problems. Plus, the sphere looks hella amazing.
