Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Definitely one of the best foilboard build videos out. Video and audio are on point! Can’t wait for part 3 🤙🏼🤘🏻

Hi Lance, Have you ever had an issue with a loose strong box, or a strong box getting ripped out? I see you re-enforce your boxes with pour foam top tubes. I like that approach. Seems like a great way to add the right amount of enforcement while keeping the weight down.

Hi Scott, I’ve have had issues before, yes. But not from the box getting ripped out of the foam and board. My issues have been water getting into the board caused by improper fiberglassing techniques. Causing delamination around the pourfoam boxes. The other time i had problems is from not having the pour foam go all the way through to the deck. I made the block only 2 inches thick with perforations to the deck. Foam block eventually ripped away from the eps foam inside. But did not rip off from the carbon or tracks. Hope this makes sense. Just have the high density foam go all the way through to the deck if you’re going to use it.

Awesome Rhett! He’s Really good guy. I haven’t been down there yet to Vaccum bag the board. Eric has been out of town most of the month. We will be glassing it in September for sure! Video to follow soon.

I see this was fitted 1 years ago! I want to fit a PVC twin hydrofoil box on my board , therefore my question is: did the box work and not break off? and are the plastic inserts strong enough for the hydrofoil attachment? P.S has anyone on youtube used these PVC plastic twin boxes successfully? without losing their hydrofoil?

This is still my main board i use for wingfoiling. Ive been using these boxes for 5 years now with no box failure. If you place them in the foam surfboard with out any strong reinforcement. Then you will lose your boxes and foil. I reinforce them with the 8lb high density pour foam. Works fine. My friend glues wooden stringers to them and wraps them in carbon fibers. There are multiple ways to install them.
