You have replaced Bitwit for my favorite KZbin channel. You are straightforward and to the point (even though I do love Bitwit’s humor, lol). In this video, your labeling where things go is priceless. I am about to teach my brother how to build a PC and this is going to be one the goto videos I will show him. We will also be doing some mods and you have the best tutorial videos around for that. They made the average person feel like this stuff is actually doable. Keep up the excellent work!

Whoa! You made it a very high quality and detailed presentation. Just one suggestion, before building, just do a short review of each component. That way we will now what components line where. Thumbs up btw.

I always like to to update the bios before installing any devices on the motherboard, meaning just what is needed to post. And usually install the video card last on Intel based systems and just stick with onboard video until windows/drivers are installed and ready. I think keeping the first post as simple as possible makes sense. Mostly to allow the bios updates to have the least amount of complexity on the system. These choices are for the most part subjective and usually are developed from previous experiences. I like the way you made your build easy to understand that mostly helps newbies gain confidence by not overwhelming them with technobabble hyperbole, good job..
@DIYTechTube6 жыл бұрын
Ah yeah! When you've got experience you learn efficiency. But I think a newbie will just be happy to see it post. Thanks for the kind words :)

Good job. Graphics card connection great point. Although you showed it removing film on the CPU cooler is essential. Didn't on my first build 😭 PSU power requirements for your system build can be figured out on PCPartpicker. Great reference for power requirements and component compatibility.

Been watching build videos like mad to get the courage to try it. There's no video that's so in depth about cable types, where they go and what they look like. Thanks for this small consideration with a huge impact. The thing that scared me the most are all them dammed wires! 😁

As usual, a great informative video. Just so happens you’ve used the exact case and motherboard I’m looking at buying, although Fractal have just released a white version of the Meshify which I really love, so I’ll be getting that version.

It's a really nice case! You'll be pleased

Dietec thanks. The last PC I built was 20 years ago, things have changed. Watched so many videos now I think I could build a pc blindfold! Going to use a Ryzen 5 1600, a Corsair RM550x psu and some Corsair fans. Just got to make up my mind about the gpu. Can’t wait to get the case first though, I’m in the UK so I’ll have to wait a bit I guess. Thanks again.

Hi, for anyone that’s interested the white version of this case according to Fractal Design will be available to buy from retailers in just over two weeks. Thanks again Dietec for a really informative video.

I wish corsair took the hint from most other rgb fan manufacturers and daisy chained their fan leds together. using that lighting node pro makes it near impossible to cable manage well. beautiful build though

I have the same pc except I have a liquid cooled vega 64. And an Asus motherboard. And no ssds or nvme drives. Still using a 6tb hdd. Also, I have 16gb of ram from g skill trident z 3200mhz non rgb.
@DIYTechTube6 жыл бұрын

@James.Stark.Ben.Edition6 жыл бұрын
Dietec but it's the same case, cpu and fans. I also have a 1000 watt, 80 plus platinum psu from seasonic to run that vega gpu. So, essentially, it's the same pc at least in terms of performance. With some games favouring the vega and some the 1080. But I also game at 1080p 144hz. Thinking of upgrading to 1440p soon.

You have a liquid cooled Vega 64 but no ssd? You made some weird choices, my friend
@James.Stark.Ben.Edition6 жыл бұрын
Gaming Dutchie I actually do have an ssd of sorts but it is only for windows and windows only. The drive is only 32gb. Its about four years old at this point. I am planning to buy a new ssd (a 500gb one) once I save up enough to buy about 3 of those and use them for daily stuff and use my hdds as external storage so that I can remove the hdd cage from the meshify c case and custom watercool it. But I can't with hdds inside because the spot for mounting the Reservoir and pump is in the spot of the hdd cage and you can mount one without removing it unless you mods the case a little and I'm not comfortable enough to start modding a case I bought like five months ago. Not yet, anyway.
@LaLouie_6 жыл бұрын

If you was to build a pc, after you installed windows, would you install the drivers that came on the cd for your motherboard and GPU, then run windows update, then your finished, or after you installed windows, would you run windows update, go to the motherboard and GPU's website after windows update finished installing, and get all the drivers from the websites?
@DIYTechTube6 жыл бұрын
I never touch the CD that comes with anything. I do windows updates first, then go to the websites and update hardware if needed from there
@zhammer22376 жыл бұрын
Dietec How do you know if you need the drivers?
@DIYTechTube6 жыл бұрын
Usually windows updates are all you need. You'll know if you need drivers because some programs won't work without them, and if something doesn't work then you have to seek out drivers. A lot of time drivers install automatically as well
