Awesome trick with "sandwiching" the fencing in between a couple of pieces of scrap and then clamping it. I'm doing my first garden surround and we're at the stapling in the mesh fencing now so this is a great idea. Thank you!!!

Great explanation! This is what we need to do for our new garden. Have you built the gate yet? It would be nice to see a video showing the gate with a similar explanation of the process and dimensions etc. Thanks for sharing!

I did. I used a kit. I am going to do a video on it sometime soon though because I am doing another one on the west fence

You mentioned that you used a good stain on your 2x4s. What one is that?

Looks great. I am about to do some fencing similar to yours. I think there has to be a way that the whole structure can support itself without digging any holes to put the posts in. Or maybe just every third or fourth post to go into the ground. I want to integrate high beds made of wood alongside the fencing and as part of the fencing. I need to figure out a way to make those beds part of the supporting foundation. Got lots of rocky ground. Maybe if the whole interior edge is made into a grow bed area couple of feet inward. The smaller the area the easier but large and wide areas to fence may be a bit tricky. Any ideas? I have lots of deer and elks here in sweden. Couple of wolves and lots of foxes. I dont mind sharing but there is a limit :-)

Great video. Using your video as a guide to build a vegetable garden fence. What type of screws for the brackets?
@Growyourheirlooms3 жыл бұрын
I used 1 1/4" exterior screws and 1" roofing nails for part of it. It doesn't matter as long as they are exterior screws or nails

Great video, this was very helpful. Do you have any content on building a garden door?

This is a really helpful video. I do have a question, though. Can you please share the length/type of staples you used to attach the wire to the posts? Thank you very much!

Great video, thanks! I am using your video the most. Did you use gravel underneath your concreted posts? Is that necessary?
@tomintheshop4 жыл бұрын
No gravel. I didn't think it needed it
@bens7083 жыл бұрын
People usually put a little gravel in if the hole was dug too deep and they want to raise it up.
@sarahanderson84594 жыл бұрын
Is that a concrete you dumped in the hole?
@Growyourheirlooms4 жыл бұрын
Quickrete
@bens7083 жыл бұрын
Quikrete, you just dump it in the hole and add the water. Currently $5 and change per 50 lb bag at Home Depot.
