Hone your grappling skills with a partner who won’t drip sweat into your eyes and mouth and will never have to be reminded to cut his toenails. (Especially if you haven’t made his feet yet).

I've only just seen this - two hours after finishing my dummy that's also created via the tubing you suggested (spooky). What i did, though, was put chains through the tubing. This gives it more weight whilst also offering a more durable than tape but just as flexible joints. Additionally, I used an old parker coat with a sewn up hood so that I could create a head.

How did this dummy hold up to regular use? I made one with pex tubing and the arms have snapped from too much twisting (kimuras). Looking at building one like this now but only if it'll last. Has the duct tape torn or anything?

Why did you add tubing to the torso?

Fantastic video Sir. Now I want to get started on this project. Any recommendations if I want to add some weight to my dummy?

mike lee I was thinking the same thing. I'm thinking putting sand bags in the torso. Then like long length sacks of sand for the legs and arms. Then like a big bag of sugar wrapped in cloth then duct taped for the head.

I'm also thinking of adding hinges for the elbow and knee joints to make it more realistic when locking in submissions

+NateTheItalianStallion Thank you! It's great to hear good feedback. This very same dummy is still in use everyday and is still in one piece, with no injuries, which is more than can be said for me. Although it still doesn't have a head so manages to avoid guillotines and d'arce chokes for the most part.

Hey. How did you secure the irrigation hose? Awesome video btw.

Hiya, with two lots of hose fed through the tubes there was more than enough tension and stiffness there to keep the hose in place without need for securing it further. You may have to shop around for the correct thickness hose however!
