Do you have a video explaining your set up for the rear hub that you welded etc. Thanks

Like the way you built that front axle. Lift plus more articulation.

Nice video....I learned a lot. Can you tell me/your audience, which mowers you look for and prefer to transform into a crawler? Which mowers have the standard transmission vs the hydrostatic oil drive units...Thanks

We like looking for older mowers With manual transaxles that have 1” axle shafts Peerless 2300/1200 Peerless 820 Peerless 633a Along with that we look for more Harvey duty frames These style mowers usually come with 5 bolt 12” rims That we’re able to put 25” atv tires on to As well they usually come with 8” front rims that we also use to run 19-20” front tires Some mowers have hood steering setups that can be modded easy some are a lot more work But it’s definitely important to have a strong steering setup We also like to add hydro hand brakes to the setups as well A lot goes into building a mower We don’t run hydrostatic transaxles for off-roading mowin When looking for a mower a big clue to it having a good transaxle is a 12” rear rim that has a 5/3 bolt pattern with a 1” axle shaft We kept breaking all the 3/4” transaxle to easy Never looked back once we moved into heavy duty transaxles If you looking for a mower, put out an add on your looking market place looking for free or cheap mowers! Works every time! We will be a making a new KZbin video going over everything someone needs to know when looking and building a mower!

Newby here. Really enjoying your channel. As a beginner youtuber myself I'm seeing great improvement in your vid quality and content. Question. Why weld the trans axle?
@okoffroadmowers2 жыл бұрын
So both tires spin together, it’s like having a locker in a off-road truck

Protip from a harley tech. Wear rubber gloves when dealing with grease, oil, brake fluid, and super glue. Grease in particular is a pain to clean off your hand. It takes forever to scrub it off. But gloves make it a breeze. Keep at it kid.

You’re reassembling your transaxles incorrectly, the brass bushings that are on all of the shafts have a little nub on them, you have to make sure the little nubs line up with the slots in the casings If you do not do this it will bind when it’s tightened down all the way and make it really difficult to spin, Those casings aren’t meant to have anything but rtv sealer in between the mating surfaces, this might be the reason you keep breaking axles, you’re actually creating more play for all of the shafts with putting a gasket inbetween the casings

Yesss! Thank you redzzzzzzz thank you so much I will change that! The gasket stuff I use squeezes Down to nothing! Will update people with this lil tip in a new vid, thanks again! Appreciate it
