Easy to make, takes only minutes, cheap AND it sounds great.
If you want, you can tune your flutes with a online tuner (guitars), works great. A fun project for the whole family :)

Thank you so much! This worked incredibly well and my son is off to deliver his home instrument project today. We used Starbucks straws and they worked great. We made a C-major scale, and in the process, my son learned the difference between a whole tone and a semi-tone. (On the first trimming of the fourth note, we made an F# !!!)

Hey Armin, Just wanted to let you know that your efforts recording this video really saved the day for my child. There are so many "homemade" instruments that look like instruments but are really unplayable. This one works! We used an online tuner and set the pipe up to play Ode to Joy really easily by picking a designated colored straw that was different from the rest. Thanks!!!
