How to build a PickleBall Wall for your Garage

There are many times when you can't find a partner to play PickleBall with or you just want to do your PickleBall drills. I'll show you how to build a 10'x7' PickleBall Wall that you can use inside your Garage, or anywhere else for that matter.

Hi. Thanks for the video. I couldn’t get the seam together seamlessly (haha). Should I use wood putty to fill it in? Also, I think my wall is a little too tall bc it seems like the angle of the wall should be a little steeper. Do you have any idea what the pitch/angle should be? Thanks in advance!

That was good. Any way to describe how much noise is lessened by the styrofoam? I'm building a tennis wall for the back yard, and noise is bit of a concern. Thx Dave Santa Rosa Ca

Not really, design works great, i would just get someone to assist me as it's very heavy.

Same question could you post a video demonstrating the bounce off the wall. I really want to do this but I would be really bummed if the ball died against the wall. This project is not cheap & takes time. But I really need a practice wall.

I am currently in Florida away from my Garage but I promise it does not die. I usually fail before the ball does :-) However with that said, you do need to use 3/4 plywood and brace the back properly. You are correct, it's not cheap and it does take time.

Nice job! I've watched a fair number of videos demonstrating how to build a tennis backboard, and most involve including a frame that leans the board slightly back -- at around a 15 degree angle -- in order to cause the ball to arc upwards when it bounces off. Did you ever give any thought to this kind of setup for your pickleball wall?

Sorry the late reply, i actually do lean my backboard up against my wall with a slight incline (approx 15 degrees). So yes, exactly what i did.

What is on the bottom of the wall? It appears there are three extra pieces the wall is sitting on-1 on each side and one in the middle-that did not appear in the construction video.
