I feel like this is what 99% of people would do compared compared other videos that say they are "simple" with only 10,000 steps later. Tha k you for this video!! Awesome

This is exactly what I was looking for. I love the fact that we can separate the two parts later to make it easier to move. Now if we could only turn back time so the price of plywood wood was not so expensive. 😊. Then again the amount of storage may be worth it. Thanks. Merci beaucoup. Antoine.

I really enjoyed this video. I like the practical approach to it, especially "nobody is going to see this". I like that a lot. My wife has been asking me to make a bed with drawers since we moved into a smaller space, so I'm going to give this a go. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, practical simple woodworking, I would like to start this hobby and your video is very encouraging, it can be intimidating seeing the other channels with awesome tools and seasoned precision, but your video makes me realise that is ok to start just working, mistakes are allowed, and results are just as good. Thanks, I think you have done a great job!

Antoine, I’m looking at different ideas for a similar bed for my adult dtr. I’m really glad I searched long enough to find your plan. As others have said it’s simple yet very functional and I was so happy to see someone who hasn’t perfected their craft, yet. I’m a 62 yr old Grama who’s been woodworking for 3 years now and I feel so frustrated when my hard work doesn’t end up perfect like the majority of people on here. I have yet to make something wo at least one mistake or misfitting joint(s). My family loves the stuff tho and also like several of your viewers said, that’s what matters. Thank you very much for sharing the video and plans! FOR FREE! Also unheard of! Keep going and you have one more subscriber!👍

very nice guide. i'd suggest raised edges to hold the mattress a bit. also plywood is super expensive again so this bed would cost like $300 depending what kind of wood you use to face the drawers. I'm thinking on making drawers out of plastic totes and a nice facing wood just to cut the cost to mostly 1x4 framing and a few pieces of nice face board.

Hello, Do you have plans for a King size platform bed.
@actionwatersportscolorado82314 жыл бұрын
I’m working on this build right now. I already built the base and it turned out great. I’m about to go get the wood for the drawers and was curious why 6 of the drawer peices are 8 13/16” tall when the rest are 8 3/8”? It looks like they’re all the same height in the video and in the blueprint.
@aquirion4 жыл бұрын
Hum probably a mistake. It's been few years since I built this . I don't really remember
@actionwatersportscolorado82314 жыл бұрын

@denidougherty95764 жыл бұрын
Action Watersports Colorado I just found this too and am going with making them all 8 3/8”. Glad I read your post. Thanks. Also I think the front should be 61” and not 59 1/2” to overlap the sides.
@galloe4 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to just keep both sides unattached (no screws) and still maintain the integrity of the full bed? What I mean is, can you just have both boxes side-by-side for easier portability?
@aquirion4 жыл бұрын
Probably, but honestly, it's only few screws , it's easy to remove them
@galloe4 жыл бұрын
@@aquirion Yeah, I'm thinking of joining them with pocket screws, it shouldn't be a big deal either way.

@hechetonchieres4 жыл бұрын
Does the bed get moldy if there is no air flow underneath it? Most of the videos I see have people using spaced slats instead of "solid" plywood.

Those who can't do, they will always cut others down for what the others can do! I used to get pissed when people like ivan would be basically a bully and be negative. Now, I just feel sorry for them because they must hate their life to spew their venom on to others!! I personally think that you did a great job and if it works for you,that's ALL that matters. And I love the background music!! 🙂❤️
