@@areyouavinalaff Ofcourse you feel 'torque'. But you have no clue what moment it is set on. Feeling has nothing todo with absolute measurements. If you get stronger arms the feel changes, and you tighten it 2x to tight because it feels good.
@XNeo275645 жыл бұрын
@@areyouavinalaff Ofcourse I ment where a specific set amount of torque is required you cannot feel it and say, Oh its at 80Nm now as required, or ah it' s good enough for sure because it feels same tightness. Well...you can but, it won't always be perfect. Also depends if grease is used, metal or aluminium etc. How nice of you to assume I dont have any experience. Just sayin, where asked for one of these, let's say a cylinder head, I use it. All other stuff is 'feel'. We don't need to fight bro.

Owned a 77' 13B Rotary Truck. Got 270K miles out of two motors. Replaced second motor myself. Note: as seals wore down a cold start required 3-4 tablespoons of oil down the throttle bore of the carb, result: good starting, but smoke volume that would make AN HMS Destroyer proud at the Battle of Jutland.

Fabulous series chaps. My dad bought a brand new Orange Mazda RX-2 in 1973, the dealer didn't know what to do with it when it became hard to start (at 14k) so my dad took the engine out and rebuilt it on his desk at work (a wooden hut on a demolition site), this was in 1974 with no internet to help, he replaced the rotor tips and it ran beautifully for another 20k but failed again at 34k and the car sat for some years. Sadly my dad sold it to a guy who gave it to a garage who fitted a ford V4 engine, they left a fuel hose loose and the car caught fire and burnt to a crisp on it's test run, when my dad heard he didn't laugh....much ;) I believe the car would have wanted this rather than suffer the indignity of having a stone age iron piston engine. I did LOVE that car and have loved Rotary's ever since, my best friend too, he was so inspired by the engine he went on to have a huge collection of Wankel engined motorcycles, Norton F1's, DKW and 2 Van Veen ! (they only made 36) and has become an expert on them. Great engines.
