I love that you force your buildings to be as square as designed. most folks just build according to however it leans. Keep up the great work!

Andrew Dohan it went very well, 15x15 almost did it completely by myself except for someone helping me set trusses. Actually painting it as we speak with a headlamp on cause it’s getting dark 😂 So lumber prices fell right after I finished framing, basically paid $9-7.50 per 2x4x8. Now they’re like $5 or so. Probably about 4K into it, but it’s more like a tiny house for me so a lot of that is non shed related costs. Definitely should have waited tho

Ever wondered how to build a shed in one day? Build the kit off-site, have everything delivered and setup, and hire 6 other people to help you construct it. Couldn't be simpler.

I was thinking the same thing, as a contractor for 25 years I was like…….I hope you can finish a pre build in a day with 7 guys. Five of us used to frame whole homes in 4 lol

This would make the best 20sq mini house. Two stories 16 feet high and glass windows under the gambles with curve is and a cupola. First floor exposed beams. Awe some!

Go to Garden Spot Acres. He builds one from scratch and breaks down the entire cost. It was around $3,800. The guys shed was way cooler than this one.

The guy on Garden Spot Acres builds one from scratch. His was a little over the top and he built it to house goats. His total for material was around $3,800.

If you are worried about the door frame rotting out why not use green board? Love the shed.
@MAGAMAN2 жыл бұрын
Of they could just build it correctly so that water doesn't inside the doorway. For the wood to rot, the wood needs to get wet and stay wet. If that much water is getting in and staying in, you did something wrong.

The title is a bit misleading. You didn't build this shed in a day, you assembled it in a day. A lot of it was built in your warehouse and you haven't told how long all that all took :) but nice shed!

@@BobClarizio Comment on KZbin videos. 🤪 Was an auto technician or mechanic if you prefer for right at 50 years. Be adding 12 feet to my shed next month. All the gambrel "legs" will be same length which will result in 4/12 center section. I will use z-track to eliminate water intrusion instead of hoping trim keeps water out. Do like the gutter edge for the roof though.
@BobClarizio9 ай бұрын
Z-track is a good way to go. Why do you need the extra head room?
@gailtaylor16369 ай бұрын
@@BobClarizio Just don't like the flatter roof. Current shed roof, not gambrel, is as flat as this one you did. Has leaked. But it's pretty old so due for leakage. Nothing lasts forever. There is no "right" way to do this stuff. Opinions! Us amateurs always know more than the pros! Amiright?🤪
