I work as a machine shop instructor near a Hershey co. The maintenance men come to our community college to learn machine shop. They would bring still warm fresh red licorice. Nothin better on the candy isle.

The red licorice is so good especially 😋 on a hot day when anything 😋 😍 chocolate 🍫 would be a definite melt in the hand! Plus it's better chewing on a licorice than a stalk of hay/grass, more of a desirable taste 😅😅! It is such a joy to see the kids enjoying themselves while you are outside working 💪. I think it’s a great idea. Whenever I think of starting off great property this is one of the first things I think about building, setting up solar wind and/or Hydro power getting a well going and setting up a small building to house everything so I can have my power and water going to start building. then at least you have a place to take shelter if you need to and lock up your tools if you can’t be up there full-time to start. Basically like a large well pump house that controls your electric and had some storage and maybe even with the big cistern in there to keep it out of the sun.

Heyyy guys I just looked at the video when you all moved andI had that same feeling. As I driving leaving our old turnpike entering our new one I cried sooooo hard and my son who was 8 at the time said Mom said stop worrying about the past and focus on the future😦 I turned my head and wondered where did this little man get that wisdom but although I miss home so I have had many blessings. I didnt know where we were going to live but I had a plan so my son and I with our two cats and two dogs lived in motel 6 our first week but the second day I purchased a home not what I wanted but but we needed. I owe nothing. I am a full time student working on my degree in Political Science. I say all this because you guys made it work and you have each other to get through all the hard times. great progress! For your entertainment some evening, do a search for "advanced framing" methods. There are some great techniques to consider when you start framing the house. The basic concept is the less wood in the wall the better (wood is a lousy insulating material and less studs, plates and kings/jacks, etc means less 'bridging'). In your climate the better insulated the shell of the building is the less energy needed to heat it (and cool!). Best tip I've ever been given: don't skimp on insulation. GOOD LUCK!

The pump house was the first build we put on our property. The big reason for this was it has our electrical panel in it. We placed the well head in side the pump house with a access panel so we can pull the pump out if we need to. The area we live in we should never have to drill the well again. It is great to have a out building to store stuff in. Great job guys- Jeff
