Wow! Thank you so much for this video. It is exactly what I needed today. As someone who identifies as both an introvert and a HSP, I have been struggling with the challenges of starting a coaching business. What you said makes so much sense to me! I will definitely be doing a lot more reading about the “window of tolerance” and will also be giving myself permission to SLOW DOWN and build my business in a way that feels authentic to me. Thanks again!

Hey there! Long time no talk! This video was so fascinating to me. Because I would have never considered myself an introvert and never in a million years HSP…. But all of this made so much sense to me! Is it possible that I shut down the sensitivity completely to survive trauma in my life?? I’ve always known myself to be what I would call insensitive … but what I mean by that is I cannot get in touch with feelings and emotions of myself. But I am very considerate of others. I am quiet. I observe. I am repeatedly told I hold space really well for others and allow them to share. Ppl often are embarrassed at how much they share in their first conversation with me … like DEEP stuff. So I must be that person. Definitely feel inferior among others. Though when people talk of me they give me high accolades. I find it such a disconnect because that’s not how I see myself. Going to have to listen to this again! Thanks for the share here.

Hi Rachel! So nice to hear from you! A lot of sensitive people shut down their sensitivity for various reasons...trauma...or just the overwhelm of growing up and existing in a world that isn't designed with the sensitive person in mind. And yes, disconnecting from your emotions and feelings is common because feeling them can be overwhelming. From what you shared you could be sensitive/introvert. You can take a sensitivity self test here: hsperson.com/test/highly-sensitive-test/ Really my intention behind sharing this is to help people better understand and accept their unique qualities so they can utilize their strengths to create the business and life they want in a way that works for them. :)

@@KristinHartjes Ahhh, what a loaded question! I locked in to life coaching for kids. Got a certification…launched a website and You Tube channel over the summer. Spent the summer networking, giving workshops and learning all about kids. Flat line. Not. One. Client. So, because I’m feeling SO tired…I’m pivoting again for a bit for some soul searching. Taking a break and allowing the universe to speak to me. I’m hoping for some clarity in the next few weeks. May be starting over. Are kids my passion? Yep. But can I build a coaching business with kids as my client? That’s a difficult client to market to. You can’t. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But other than that I’ve been doing amazing!
