Thats an amazing board. Consider using mod podge matt/gloss, depending on your finish, instead of the PVE. It works better for sealing, the gloss one can work for the river if you don't wanna go with resin (or just some gloss varnish)

I've been watching your channel for quite a while now and watching you build a board is quite nice. I am glad you are taking on one of the lesser used locations for your board, instead of yet another Osgiliath. Good job getting the board all the way to Scotland! There is one thing I noticed in your videos and thats the mic quality, especially in Battle reports. When you record the actual game play voices are recorded very nicely and very clear. When you do voice overs the quality is not as good, which I find strange. Have you found a reason for this? I feel like the Experience would benefit from more consistenly good mic quality.
@twotreesgaming2 ай бұрын
This is really good feedback - I'm saving up the Patreon money for a new mic (they know!) and I'm pretty much at the point of getting a new one but I don't really know what I'm looking for! The pieces to camera are just on my phone (Pixel) but I use an SM57 with a pop shield for voice overs - can't use my phone as I need a direct input to the video editing software or its just an organisational nightmare. If you know anything about mics I would be very happy to receive some knowledge, if not you can rest assured that the quality will improve but probably only in time for the new edition content! :)
@phigu1982 ай бұрын
@@twotreesgaming I dont know a whole lot about it, I am not an audio recordings guy. Maybe it's not an issue with the Microphone (The SM57 seems to have rave reviews all around), but maybe about the environment in which you record, maybe the software/recording software/settings or the PC you work with? I doubt that its the latter, but unfortunately there are a lot of moving parts about this. Lots of KZbinrs record in walk in closets, because the clothes dampen so much sound. It's possible, though it might be really awkward, to achieve something similar with a heavy blanket? I am fairly confident though that KZbin videos will have a good deal of advice on the topic.
@twotreesgaming2 ай бұрын
Yeah I'll dig into some research but it may well be location as I record right next to a piano so that may be reverberating! I shall upgrade, but will take a few videos 😁
