4 o'clock is the preferred ejection pattern not 3 o'clock!!! The guy in this video is a moron!!! First the A5 buffer tube is pointless with a JP SCS!!! The A5 buffer tube is too long for the JP SCS unless you use the spacer that comes with it. The A5 should only be used with a RIFLE length spring and buffer. Second a suppressed AR rifle ejecting at 2 o'clock is not the perfect ejection position like he says. It's over gassed and has a hard recoil!!! The 4 o'clock position is the preferred ejection position! All the rifles in the video are all over gassed!!! You guys need to get a clue on how to tune a suppressed AR rifle!!! I can't believe that you guys build suppressors and don't know how to tune a AR rifle!!! That is mind blowing!!! Just use a standard mil spec buffer tube, leave the regular spring in the JP SCS with the 2 tungsten weights and a regular weight and then turn your gas setting down a lot more until your ejection pattern is a 4 o'clock. That is how mine is set up and it runs like a dream! It shoots flat and soft and with little blowback and I'm using an old Surefire RC1 suppressor. My advise is if you are going to run a suppressor then you need to tune your rifle for running with the suppressor and leave it on all the time. People need to stop taking it off to shoot occasionally because its too heavy or for whatever reason crap too!!! Your suppressor should only come off your gun when you clean it!!!

Depends. It’s a balance between suppressed and unsuppressed. If he wanted to tune it every time he took the suppressor off 3oclock would be the goal. If he’s tuned it to balance both, it may be 2 o’clock for suppressed, 4 o’clock unsuppressed

I just have to say that using JP SCS in an A5 buffer tube makes NO sense. JP SCS requires a spacer to run in an A5 tube that makes it just as long as the standard carbine length tube. Also there is no "longer travel" in an A5 system, even with its standard buffer and spring setup.

When I first got into AR15’s, I thought I’d want to suppress them and found piston guns were better than direct impingement for cleanliness and sound at the shooters ear. I went with Adams Arms for the majority of my AR15 and AR10 collection and also have a PWS and Sig Rattler that are piston driven as well. You can even buy piston kits that have adjustable gas blocks to turn your DI gun into a piston gun.
@alexmiller5796

You can still use adjustable gas blocks on a DI guns. Problem with those is many times to adjust it requires some kind of tool and toolless stuff like riflepseed just look werid. I dont know why some companies like Geisselle or DD didin't come up with AGB for DI system already, with their own line of handguards with cutout piston style toolles adjustment feature like PWS or MCX from Sig.
@RangeToyz
@RangeToyz 6 ай бұрын
@@alexmiller5796 sounds like they should be installed by a gunsmith. When I got the new AARS handguard for my AA P2 308, I brought it to Curt’s Discount Shooters Supply. It came with a different barrel nut and however it was, they left out some bushing or washer or something on the piston for a correct fit. It runs flawless now, just as before.

@SilencerShop
@SilencerShop 6 ай бұрын
For 5.56 guns we run supersonic ammo, generally 55 grain M193, we don't like to oversell performance by using specialty ammo. Form 9mm, .22lr, and 300BLK, we use subsonic as those are common loadings for those calibers.

The Radian Charging Handle is by far the worst charging handle at gas mitigation. It doesn’t properly seal around the top of the upper receiver, allowing gas to escape directly into your face. The Geissele SCH and Silencer Co charging handle are far better. Also, if you’re running an adjustable gas block, wouldn’t it make more sense to use a lighter buffer and spring? It would require less gas to cycle the weapon and since you can restrict the gas with the adjustable block that would seem more ideal
@SilencerShop
@SilencerShop 6 ай бұрын
No, the goal is to keep the bolt locked in battery so that barrel pressure can drop, so a heavier buffer is more desirable for most setups.
