How to Build an "Image" as an Artist

Having an image is an important aspect of being an artist. The best image is always be your authentic self. Naturally discover what clothes you like, how you talk, your slang, how you pose of photos, etc. No matter what you do, make sure your image is consistent. Don't force an image, if you don't like designer clothing, don't wear designer clothing. Don't change the color of your hair just to try to be more interesting. You can exaggerate some of your personality to become associated with something you like a lot. It's hard to come up with an "image" strategy because everyone is different. Some people to look at for a good example are Savage Ga$p and $not.

I hope the comment goes around to anyone thinking of an image Please think of your highschool days, if you were popular alot and there was something you wore all the time weather that be a favorite shirt or jacket or glasses or hat all the time rock something that shouts that out that harks back to that. Anything that you wore that made you stand out, If you were in a crowd and you were someone that stood out like that figure out what made you stand out. Think of nick names you got growing up and small stuff like that you should go with that. Think of your rapper image like a character in a comic book, Try to be identifiable as well. Patrick CC is saying great stuff here but if you really need to craft and image by hand outside of yourself then think off it like a superhero or platform videogame character what traits they have and what makes them stand out.

Hello, i wanted to ask do i NEED a logo? Is it absolutely necessary for branding? Because i cant find any place to fit my logo into... My social media pages profile picture shouldn't there be my picture for example? Where would i even put the logo? I tried looking for some major or even not so major artists using logos but they all used professional pictures as their profile pic for everything... I wonder should i post a professional picture or a logo as profile pics. Or can i have both somehow and if so where should i fit them? Thank you

Have you ever read the book "Pinball" by Jerzy Kosinski? It's a fiction novel about a washed up composer who's hired by a rich woman with exotic sexual appetites to find a rock star. But the catch is that while this rock star is the biggest hit-maker in the world, nobody knows who he is. He makes his music anonymously, his record company doesn't know who he really is, he's never performed in public, and no known photos of him exist. It's his anonymity and invisibility that generate his image and mystique. I wonder how plausible or possible this is in today's world? Granted, it's in all probability impossible. But it's an intriguing idea.
