Shawn your inspiring me big time over here. I found a plot of land (4.7 acres just outside of Perry Sound). I'm seriously thinking of building a few cabins, living in one and renting out the others on airbnb. Your channel has such a massive following, I'd bet 1/2 the people following these videos would love to experience what it is actually like to be out in the middle of nowhere and fall asleep to the fire crackling from the wood stove.
@victoriasann17724 жыл бұрын
Why would you want rent them out? Reason living off grid an stay away from Society, people can be destructive if you rent them out. 1 create your own you tube channel people may want to watch you. 2 Living off land....farming, sell excess food. Years ago in USA, people would visit Plymouth Rock and chip away some of the rock for themselves. Now its been protected all can take is pictures.
@timzi274 жыл бұрын
@@victoriasann1772 I still like people and society, my reasons for doing this would be to get away from the 9-5, be my own boss, and just overall be outside more because that's where I'm happiest.

Dear James, I was wondering if it wouldn't be nice for some of your viewer to rent the cabin and to do some learning from life in the forest by helping you on something. It could be a vacation package. You would state the job to be done with you and the ones who would enjoy the adventure would pay to stay in the cabin while helping you. You could also have a day off to take your visitor around, fishing, hiking, hunting and so on. I'd love to do that. Why not give a try. I'm a huge fan of your life style. You can even decide who you think is going to be a good guest. Looking forward to it. LOVE, LIVE, LEARN n LAUGH MAC

Learning so much, double insulation the roof with wood. Got me thinking no insulation was use on the entire cabin.
@dlspiritdancer95484 жыл бұрын
The only insulation he used was the actual chinking from materials at the cabin. Mud he made on the east wall. He used moss on the rest. One vid he done some kind of test where it showed how air tight the cabin is. He found out the moss was much more efficient than the mud. Very talented & intelligent guy, Shawn is. Hes just too modest to say it. He researches every decision! Amazing really.
