Nice build! Heavy duty for sure. I think the damper could benefit from a rotating/proportional design instead of a flip top version but I’m sure you’d be cooking with it wide open most of the time any way. Keep it up!

Only question I have is how are you going to control airflow on the firebox?

We definitely should have added a latch to regulate airflow! We just prop the door open and since it’s heavy steel it doesn’t tend to move too often.

I think you could've saved yourselves a ton of heavy lifting by just building the smoker on the base. End result is the same, of course. But you might be slightly less wore out!
