to add some stuff, that i learned from testing, be wary of water near the iron farm, golems can spawn near and then walk in it, so if you can, dont do it near a river, second, is to cover the dirt around the farm with path dirt, so that golems spawn in the pool more often, third is that villager will need sleeps once for a few days the farm is active, if not, the farm kinda got into a halt.

@@goose7741 you dont need to kill the zombie, just make the trap door go up, it'll act like a door, and allow the villager to sleep, also good thing is that to make the zombie 1 block away from what is shown in the video, just in case the villager gets too close

@@maevey I FOUND A SOLUTION! Idk how it messes with the rates, (but probably not as much as iron golems being stuck in those block), but here's my solution! DIRT PATHS! The "floor" of the spawning area should look like this: XXXXYXXXX X__________X X__________X X__________X O__________O X= Dirt Path (You must temporarily remove the water to be able to turn dirt into it) O= Water Source Y= Hopper _= Doesn't matter/Leave how it was before "Why Does This Work?" My theory is that they spawnwith their hitboxes withing the left and right walls, then get pushed by the water while not getting out of said walls and are able to just kinda stay phased through it. So, let's not make them be able to spawn too close to the walls!! My farm has been working perfectly ever since!

If anyone’s having trouble here’s some quick solutions. If you’re placing them near rivers or cave systems, then fill up the cave systems/river in a 16x16 radius around the villagers as well as making the grass blocks path blocks. Set up buttons along the top wall of the kill chamber as well as on top of the block of the kill chamber (if you replaced the grass. You can also use fences, iron bars, glass, etc, on top of the kill chamber blocks) then path out 9 blocks around the kill chamber in every direction to make a big rectangle. Iron farm should work super efficiently after :) 👍🏽

found that the golems phase into blocks when they spawn near the edge of the kill box near the lava not sure if anyone else has this problem. best way to circumvent this is to just place magma blocks on the edges down 3 blocks and on the floor (magma floor blocks are not necessary but they make things go faster) of the kill box.

@@Ghosthamza break the floor of blocks under the wall the lava is sitting against and replace them with magma. When its finished you shouldn’t be able to see the magma blocks since there at floor level inside the wall

So when iron golems spawn into the wall, they are inside a magma block, which then hurts them to either push them out or kill them instead of the lava. It takes longer to kill them, but it works. So looking at my farm, you see the entire wall where the lava is at, is magma blocks instead.

I have added work stations, grass path blocks 7 layers out from the spawning area, and am over 100 blocks away from a village and still have no spawns. I have even changed my simulation and render distance down to 5 chunks. Any ideas?

if you want to make this to get mobs, get in the center of the farm of the water and sky bridge up and destory blocks under and box yourself in and at night time mobs will go into the water and into the lava which gives you a mob farm aswell(baby zombies wont die to the lava but the iron goloms will kill the zombie whilst in the lava)

This farm does work for me. I'm on Java 1.21 and it works fine with one problem. My iron golems ARE spawning inside the pool, that's fine, but often when they are sliding towards the lava kill box, they hit one particualr spot on the edge of the wall get stuck phased 1/2 in the wall, thus stalling the farm, and I have to PUSH them out of the wall. My entire floor and walls are built with STONE. How to fix this so they don't get stuck in the wall? Thanks.

@@Gifted-Fusion I managed to fix my issue, by creating a very short water flow on top of the wall that the iron golems were getting stuck in. It took some doing to figure out how to get the water to flow just from the wall towards the pool, but not flow INTO the pool, because that disrupts the flow of the pool flowing towards the lava kill box. I did figure this out on my own though, and the iron farm now works perfectly, and I've never had a stuck iron golem since. I wish I could explain to you how I fixed it, but I bet it would be too difficult to explain in words.

Things I found was that sometimes the Iron Golem would spawn embedded in the blocks to the right of the lava as you look at it from the other side of the hole they should spawn in. To help with this, I was lucky to find some Magma blocks in a chest in a sunken ship chest. I put these on the bottom of the hole to speed up the killing of the Iron Golem. Great farm though. I'm new to Java, I've been playing Bedrock for years so I'm still getting the hang of it. I did put some trap doors on the side to try stop them spawning embedded in the wall but it's rare enough not to be too much hassle but I would like to find a solution. Maybe I'll just move the hole and the chest a block further over and see if that helps. Any ideas, please let me know? I think I'm on day 12 of this new world on 1.21.1 (Java). Also, when the 3 villagers panic, and one sleeps, they seem to push him into the wall and he will eventually suffocate, no big deal either, I just close the trap door and give them a few carrots and let them breed a new 3rd villager.

SIMPLE SOLUTION FOR LOW SPAWN RATE! I got VERY little spawn first. If you have that problem do this! Doesnt matter if you are near a village or not, doesnt matter if they have jobs or not. Do this exact build, but once u are all done, make a litte extra space on the SIDE of the beds for the villagers, like 2 extra blocks each way. But make sure its not wider than 2 blocks like the beds. And do the same on the zombie side and place 2 zombies. and place half slabs where you give the 3 villagers some extra room to walk. Then they have more space to run around scared and all of a sudden my farm was spawning one golem right after the other 24/7! And as all other writes, make sure to use a shovel on the ground around a pretty large area around the farm so they dont spawn outside. Because if one spawns outside and doesnt die the farm stops

It did only spawn 1 at a time but as soon as it got burned by the lava another spawned no waiting between spawns. Worse comes worse look for a zombie and throw an item on a ground(not armor), if it picks it up (a 1/14 chance) then it works the same as a name tag and the zombie wont despawn.
