I'd go with full width (2x4) spacers as those are load supporting.

Shelves do not sag in middle with 8 foot length? No center brace needed?

No the shelves are not sagging at all. The boards are heavy duty and holding up nicely. I use them in my garage and no signs of sagging at all.

I'm curious why you built it upside down. Now you have to flip it. Wouldn't it be easier on it's side?

pretty nice man, i m thinking of building a shelf too but that can hold aquariums. I d prob do the same with maybe 2x6 instead of 2x4 going accross, maybe add braces between each level with spare wood, and i m still not sure how but I wanna build something at the bottom so that the weight isn't distributed on just 4 locations on the wooden floor. If I drill the legs into sideways 2x6, the entire weight will be resting on those screws, so that s def not a good option. Can't wait to find the answer to that one 😄

For my shelves I’m not planning to put super big weight on them. But if your plan is to use for aquariums then yes definitely use more reinforcement.

OSB is not too heavy duty, but for my garage shelves it works perfectly
