Girl the lord smashed my full length mirror. It just fell off the back of my door one day and completely smashed. I haven’t had a full length mirror since. This was a few months ago and wow I don’t even miss it. I used to get stressed out when it was time for me to get dressed. I would freeze up, focus on my body & then get frustrated with my kids if they came in the room whilst I was getting dressed. The amount of time I would waist getting ready, the mood changes, the pride, self focus and focus on weight has gone. I get dressed within 2 minutes, I can focus on my kids and get out the door. Life changing

I’ve been church hurt so many times due to my autism diagnosis since 12. I went to a charismatic one and they called me a “demon” and an “incompetent astray” from time to time. My mother and father also never presented that Godly love for one another which made my childhood unbearable. Ashley, your videos as an now 19 year old autistic Christian helped me talked to God more and less to mankind. I cut my family off by keeping my distance, I am focused on my studies, I have one close friend who is also Christian, and I’m welcomed to my college’s church better than my old home. Something that was a game changer for me was this: every version of me deserves love I am not undeserving of love, cute outfits, care, compliments and acceptance even if I am unmotivated, breaking out, feeling horrible and unproductive- I deserve that kind of self love all versions of me, not just when my skin is clear, or I feel good and am motivated and productive. God says I love YOU, YOU now and YOU later, and YOU before.

One day I was driving and admiring the beautiful creations of God and just praising Him because he is an amazing artist. Earlier that day I had also been asking God why he loved me and how he saw me. As I thought of the beauty in His creation I remembered that I had asked Him that question. Then I felt a question rise up "why do you think the mountains and the sky are beautiful?" I replied in my mind "because you made them my Lord, because they are a work of your hand". Then at that moment it hit me and tears filled my eyes. I am beautiful because I am His handiwork and I am his creation. The Lord of the universe who made the most awe inspiring landscapes also formed me. Good is so good. Believe that He loves you and that you are beautiful, you are a work from His hand.

As an older sister in Christ, this message of negative self-talk and creating new healthy habits drills directly into my heart this morning. This has been on my mind since I woke up. Message received, Lord! Also, I relate to Wil's story. I believe I have a touch of dyslexia that the nuns in school were not equipped to recognize. I would dread having to read out loud for class because I would stumble over the orders, pronounce them wrong or add in words that were not there because in my mind the addition made more sense. Teachers would scold me and the kids would laugh. It took YEARS to get over that fear and gain confidence to do any kind of public speaking. Not to mention the anxiety that it caused...
