I am really surprised that 120x25mm fan is giving you that much throughput with that manifold system. I would have expected a significant pressure loss, but everything looks good. Well Done!

I’m impressed that little fan can push air as well as it did.

We also bought Inkbirds. They SUCK at monitoring humidity. We too are switching to timers. Put a 13W UV aquarium lamp in that water tank and you'll be happier with reduced bacteria etc.

Yes I was actually planning on doing this, currently I use hydrogen peroxide, but want to switch to UV

Built a 5 gallon bucket humidifier using your ducting method and with a 3-disk from House of Hydro, 5 gallons keeps a 5x5 between 60-65 for ~24 hours before running dry (Ontario). Thanks!

Nice set up . Thanks for sharing your videos. How much bleach did you put in the fogger water? 👍👍🎯

That .. that .. bloody bleach stuff. Hahaha! Another great video. Those pipes look awesome and push out a good amount of mist! Also like your new Tork percentage controller! Thanks for sharing this, mate!

I noticed that there is a lot of water on the floor. As well I see that alot of your holes are pointing down. I was thinking if you took out the bottom holes you will collect more residual water from the dehumidification process. Awesome job on the humidifier. I'll be building mine in a few weeks. P.s. just some food for thought.

Hey Oak and Spore Mushroom Farm! I have been watchig your videos, they are so good to learn! Let me ask you something.. How often do you turn this humidifier system on in the day? You told that you run about 30 seconds to get 92% U.R.. but do you do twice, three times a day or even more? Thanks man!
@OakandSpore Жыл бұрын
it would turn on every few minutes.
@nathanfife28905 жыл бұрын
You may not have realized you can set a threshold for the Inkbird so that it turns on again sooner. The default setting will wait until the humidity has dropped 5% from the desired setting befor turning on again. Your system works well though
@OakandSpore5 жыл бұрын
Yea I realize this, but the problem is the humidity sensor cannot detect the change in the air fast enough. Ideally it would need a fan pipe air from the room over it at all times to get an accurate reading. Unfortunately I have two broken InkBirds sitting next me to me on my desk. I think the relays went in both of them.
@nathanfife28905 жыл бұрын
Wild, I have had zero issues with InkBird, but I also don't use them for more than three or four months at a time.
@OakandSpore5 жыл бұрын
@@nathanfife2890one of mine lasted 3 months, the second 2 weeks, now the third is just used as a humidity sensor, not a controller.

Hi. How do you get fresh air into the growroom with this set up and how you control the temp if the room getting hot because of hear from the light?
@theDanWshow3 жыл бұрын
Hi Champ, you mention using bleach to clean your tub. Please look into the effects of using chemicals with an ultrasonic humidifier. Check out the cases in Korea. Scary stuff. I don't know if hydrogen peroxide is an issue. Manufacturers recommend using vinegar to clean ultrasonic humidifiers. Stay safe.

Hey brother thanks for the video I just got my humidifier built and I also installed my pvc I used 3 inch schedule 40 but I’m skeptical about the fan I have I got my stuff from house of hydro 9 disc fogger and the 80mm fan I wanted the 120mm but they were sold out. Anywho what size drill bit would you recommend to drill the holes with since the fans not the big one ? Thank you in advance mate!
@OakandSpore4 жыл бұрын
Hey dude, I honestly don;t know without being there to look at drill the holes myself. Get a holesaw which is close in size, or use a jigsaw?
@surefiremushroomsmicrogreens4 жыл бұрын
@@OakandSpore no worries mate. I ended up just using a 3” hole saw on the lid for the 80mm fan. I went with drilling 2, 3/8” holes every foot on the 20’ run of PVC and it works perfectly! Thank you for your response mush appreciated!😎 🍄

Hello ... I did not find how u r pushing the air fresh in the room ? Is it from the opening at the end of the room right side on the top ?
@OakandSpore4 жыл бұрын
There is a fan which vents our out of the room. Then this happens fresh air makes it way inside through a vent in the wall.

about that kind of piping for the fog... won't the pvc pipe get flooded with condensed water? i see that you located it on the middle of the room so drips won't fall on mushrooms, so that is smart. But i wonder if it the water that eventually is going to fill the portion of pipe that is not at same level than the holes could breed nasties inside. Did you made it with some kind of slope and drainage holes for solving that potential problem? Nice to see your videos, i see that you take time to design your stuff to be efficient and i like it. Greetings
@OakandSpore5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! The pipe all flows downward, so water will run back into the reservoir. It's easy to to take the pipe down and clean as well.
