I have smthing to add on the ER and skill uses per rotation. In the Skill description it says that if you dont use a jump you decrease the Cooldown of the skill by 3 seconds (its at the very end). Also another source confirms that if you do 2 jumps you will generate 3 particles and have a 9 seconds cooldown meaning 6 particles and two skill uses in an 18/20 second rotation. But obviously it costs more field time and you can only do it if the carrys on field time allows for it (or the team doesnt realy have an on fielder)

Anemo catalyst healer with VV set and crowd control (also optional ttds) is just generally extremely good role consolidation. Which you can just slot into any elemental team for the most part. Way more flexible than Shenhe. You can ignore her plunging aspects and she still has lots of utility. Her giving high jumps to characters is also a mobility tool you can use to dodge attacks when low on stamina.

I honestly can see Xianyun as a Sucrose like driver being a thing. If I do pull her I'd like to try Yae Miko, Fischl, Furina and Xianyun driving with Hakushin Ring. For taser driver teams she becomes a weaker Kazuha who instead has healing and enables Furina which is pretty big.

I'm probably just going to farm her talent mats from domains. I don't think I'll farm for artifacts before she's released. She seems way too niche to say for sure what artifacts are her good for her pre-release. She could surprise us too, or get altered (which could cause some changes to her current best artifacts). Though if you want to have her as the sole VV-user (I really wouldn't. She seems that she wants to be paired with another anemo, so they'll most likely be a better VV user) or full-on healer then just go for those I guess. The new healing artifact set seems decent for her since it also includes buffing plunge attacks.

I really don't like what they're doing with 5 star weapons now. You could say that part of Cloud Retainer's actual KIT is in her weapon, rather than on the character. The plunge buffing on it SHOULD have been tied to her burst or something, but they sliced it out of her kit, and put in on a weapon for you to pull for. And, worse, they seem to be carefully making it so that five star weapons almost never work very well with any other character. Add to that, characters like Wriothesley who feel deliberately hampered, in order for you to pull their C1 for them to feel good to play. It just kind of feels bad, knowing that yeah, I'm pulling for Xianyun, so I'm probably also going to pull for her weapon, and maybe her C1 just so she isn't noticeably subpar, rather than those things adding cool extra cherries on top.

I really wish they'd gone with a different color scheme for her clothing. Maybe it looks better in game, but as is, it just doesn't pop in the one image. Imagine her if she was wearing some bright red or whatever, she'd look so much better. But oh well, that plus her being pogo-stick based makes her an easy skip for me. Which is good after my horrible luck with Navia, hehe.

Glasses are really versatile. First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. I really want Yrlan to try some on or Beidou to try some on to replace her eyepatch. We really need glasses to become a thing in Genshin and start selling them for the in game wardrobe. Don't. You. I pulled for Mistsplitter and ended up getting a wolfs gravestone and verdict… so at that point I only had enough pulls left for Navia and she’s been a lot of fun, there are two main reasons I’ve enjoyed her more than any other character thus far - she feels complete at c0 and she’s loaded with damage, above what I thought would be possible. But she is Geo, so that should be a consideration for your teams you want to slot her into. The only other characters I’ve used that feel as good as Navia are Raiden, nahida, kazuha and Yelan. You know I’d have loved to snipe a Mistsplitter and bail - but I rolled with the gacha punch in the balls and I’m enjoying Navia in design, power, and overall smoothness in her rotation

As someone who's only had Jean for maybe two patches and who built her specifically for use with Furina, I'm sitting here going 😅 I love Cloud Retainers design, personality and her abilities seem cool so I do wanna pull, I'm just not super sure how useful she'll be with characters other than Xiao and Diluc. I do have Xiao and love him, but rarely use him these days. Maybe if I pull her I can get back into using him. My Faruzan is only c2 and not built though, so... Not great. Looking forward to more videos! I'm not sure who I'm pulling for next at this point, but your videos help me decide.

It will probably be a fun gimmick composition, especially if Kazuha has constellations. Thundering Fury to keep spamming his plunge can turn him into a Xiao that pulls enemies instead of pushing them away. 😮

Do y'all think genshin signature weapons are often too weak? Should they be a lot stronger? I feel like, aren't weapons stupid hard to get. I wouldn't mind if they were similar to an OP c2 constellation. Maybe a bit less. But I don't pay attention to weapons so maybe this is already the case most of the time

Some are either a negligible increase over other generalized 5* weapons, or on par with or even outclassed by 4* R5 weapons, or complete niche. In Xianyun's case, her weapon is so niche and seemingly an extension of her literal kit to the point where you wouldn't even be able to utilize it on any other character. It's literally stapled to her. Unlike Shenhe's Calamity Queller with similar base ATK and atk% stat, Xianyun's signatures' entire effect won't be ideal to equip on anyone else whereas Calamity Queller can still be ideal for others, albeit not best-in-slot unless Shenhe herself. I feel her signature will work really well on her in terms of a base ATK boost where her other artifacts' atk% stats will heavily boost her ATK. The 20% plunge attack damage increase is very niche, but sort of useful on teams that utilize her niche. In my opinion, it should've just been a 20% all elemental damage bonus similar to Calamity Queller's 12% all elemental damage bonus. And finally, her energy recharge effect of 2.5 per plunge attack really only shines if Xiao is in the team where he is able to plunge attack beyond the 8x limit. Any other characters would hit the 8x limit, being 20 energy overall per burst, which isn't bad, but Favonius Codex can easily achieve a similar effect and share it amongst the entire team with the addition of providing energy recharge %. Even Prototype Amber R5 can give 18 energy to the holder over 6s with added healing by just activating your burst. Overall, her weapon is far too niche and doesn't really outdo any other weapon effects, and only really is a highlight because of its high base ATK. I personally won't be pulling for her weapon because there are other great options where I won't have to waste a potential 240 intertwined fate (worst case) just to secure a minimal increase in healing and damage.

I think the single biggest thing that needs to happen in regards to signature weapons is... a rework of the weapon banner. This whole path garbage should be swapped to picking a four star (and also applied to the featured character banner for its four stars), and weapon banners should work like character ones. One featured weapon per banner. There are just too many niche ones and this is becoming a bigger and bigger issue with each new weapon added, especially whenever they add a support character, or most of the Fontaine characters with hp change mechanics. As to the weapons themselves, power-level-wise, no, they don't really need to be more powerful. Genshin is already pretty darn easy if you get C2s and the weapons. If the weapons were even more powerful, it would just be pointless. So maybe they should have an even lower soft pity and hard pity cap (in addition to revamping how the banners work), but not more power.

I do feel that the newer weapons are becoming more and more niche, being specifically designated for their assigned character rather than being a bit more generalized. It makes me more reluctant to pull for them. Older weapons like Homa, Mistsplitter, Haran, Simulacra, Primordial Jade weapons, etc. are all weapons that work best on their designated character, but work so well for others, which gives them a lot of value for an account. These new weapons, like Baizhu's, Furina's, and now even Xianyun's, they have little to no value outside of that respective assigned character. I'm sure the revenue Hoyo receives is far less when they take this approach. Wonder how long they keep this up?

@Axterix13 if they reworked the epitomized path to work like a 50/50, but only give you the chosen weapon if you win the 50/50, like the limited character banners, it would be great to pull on, especially with the 80 hard pity system instead of the 90. And I agree, the 5* weapons shouldn't be made stronger, but they should me more generalized in effect and not so niche, that way we can have much more versatile options for the entire character roster to use instead of isolating options. It's just been the recent weapon drops that have become so niche all of a sudden. Even Itto's weapon, while boosting DEF, can still be used on non-DEF based characters, albeit not best-in-slot, but still a good viable choice. Xianyun's weapon eats the entire niche cake in my opinion. Wouldn't be of use equipped on any other character other than herself. Good thing is, she has other solid options.

I think it has less base attack than Skyward and in order to get full atk buff you need a shield. I imagine it's still decent on her though as long as you have enough ER for her burst.

Replacing Furina C6 with Jean C4 is not worth. She is significantly worse at buffing damage, and as soon as an enemy is no longer in her small circle she she stops buffing the damage. However, you can use both Faruzan C6 and Jean C4 if you want, just mind that Jean is very inconsistent.

I'm also making her an on-field dps as well, for teams im using C6 Faru/Furina/Benny (might replace with Jean cuz of c4 and i like her more) Weapons wise its prob Sig > Lost Prayer > Atlas > Kagura/r5 Widsith im guessing Artifacts im using 4pc Mara, without Furina prob go with 4pc Pavillion Edit: Vermillion could also work with Furina but the crit from Mara is much appreciated on her

You can already see in the video that team you mentioned. Diluc is the best winner here because of his massive 440% high plunge multiplier. You can either use Furina to boost damage and subDPS, allow reverse vape. Or use Ganyu for Melt Diluc. If you have C6 Bennett you don't even need to use Diluc's burst. Just one skill before you go on a plunging spree.

@@thebrigade7684 I actually don't plan on using Furina. I will go with Ganyu. It's too difficult to Swirl Pyro when there's Hydro because of how easy Hydro can remove Pyro. As for Cryo, it can't easily remove Pyro from Bennett's 2 GU Pyro, so I can still swirl with Xianyun before going with Diluc. Though hopefully Ganyu can clear out leftover Pyro, if on multiple enemies, the swirled Pyro just reapply to enemies. Will need actual tests to see rotations.
