I truly do not understand how you do not have more subscribers!?! Your videos are so calming and well done, from the styling to the topics to the presentation to the editing...spot on! I have Asperger’s and I LOVE having an organized closet. I have recently embraced the idea of a capsule wardrobe, although I have, for years, followed closet mantra of “thrift all you can, upcycle what you love, recycle what you don’t, renew with as much that is locally, ethically and/or sustainably made”. Your presentation of ideas and information is so well done. I am inspired and it brings me such happiness to begin to pare down my wardrobe to something which everyday brings me joy to wear. I can begin to forget having those “second best” days where I wear pieces from my closet that are just okay. And for that, I thank you.

Your videos never fail to inspire me! I like the last tip of using the time you may spend “window shopping” to spend it looking for inspiration on styling pieces you already own, I’m going to make this more of a habit 💕

Another information packed and inspiring video, Signe. You've given me a completely new perspective when it comes to fashion and to my wardrobe - things I wish I'd known many years ago. It would have saved me a lot of time, energy and money in fashion mistakes. I have things in my wardrobe that I spent very little money on but have gotten so much use out of and other things I spent a lot of money on and wore very little or not at all. I am now trying to use what I have and when I do get something new, I try make sure it's something I would wear a lot. Thanks, as always for another great vid! xox, Sue

Hi Signe. I’m so proud of myself today cause I just bought my first second hand and after that, I went shopping with a list. And before that, I matured the idea of a shoe for several weeks before buying those! This is a absolutely victory! I used to be a consumerist.

I am going through a big move from living in a country for 10 years of student life to Germany which I'm going to start a new life and start a grown-up life, I found your channel a few days ago and I want to thank you for the amazing content, I was so anxious about this packing and move that I was sitting for hours thinking of how miserable my life is, how much I have bought without thinking but it has been few days while watching your videos I am organizing everything and de-cluttering my life and I have never felt better, I realized it is a huge help for my depression as well and I am 100% going to change my lifestyle because Scandinavian minimalistic lifestyle was always on my mind but now that I am graduating I can actually do it. again thank you so much for your videos and for the time you are putting to make these awesome content in a world that keeps pushing us to be a consumer. much love from Budapest

You literally have helped me with my journey to have a capsule wardrobe, that I enjoy and actually works for me. I recently got a few "staple" items on sale, I wait for sales to get the items for what I need and what works for what I have kept. 💜

I absolutely adore your style! So many ideas of how to wear things I never thought about. I am a stay at home mom that does photography here and there when I can with clients. So I have come to realize even though I love the more dressy things, I wear the loungewear 90 percent of my time.

I love your videos! I am moving toward a very basic color pallet. Mainly black, gray, white, navy and blush pinks. Maybe a touch of red. I love your organizational tips. They are very helpful. Thank you for sharing!

For me, I've had better luck with quality new items than 2nd hand, unless i'm travelling to bigger centres and have access to great vintage that i can try on. I now look for items I can imagine wearing 30x this season, plus next year at this season, plus 10 yrs from now when I pull it out and think "wow that is a beautiful piece, glad I kept it". I tend to 'stalk' things online until they go on sale, spend my 'fashion browsing time' doing that. I also look at how clothing lines are styling their looks for this season and instead of buying look to see how I can copy it from my closet.

I purchased 2 cardigans recently & returned both of them for refunds. One was an impulse buy, it was on sale ( I got sucked in to the sale) & I got it home & the quality of the fabric was not good & the sleeves fitted really badly. The other I purchased online & it looked terrible in real life but amazing in the picture. I still seem to make silly purchases occasionally but way less than I used to. I am learning from you & my own mistakes. Whenever I do anything like this, I think now why didn't I listen to Signe haha! So glad I could get a refund on both items! : )

Excellent! I love this and your blog on the same subject- good for people of any age- maybe even more important for those of us who are 'elders' as we do have so much over the years that may be sentimental clothing that just will never work for us again! I look forward to all your advice!

I think if one really doesn’t know their style, it helps to pull out fro the wardrobe about the 15 items that are both loved and worn. Then, analyze what you love about them and any similarities between them. Jot these down, then start from there.

Thank you for this video! I love the first step of pausing to think about your actual lifestyle before planning a wardrobe. My lifestyle is very casual and yoga oriented, however I always tend to purchase items that are fancier due to feeling like I *should* wear them-but I never do! Even jeans. I will really think about my lifestyle first! :)

I take the same good care of my H&M viscose sweaters, dresses, etc. as I do my cashmere ones. I have to shop Hight Street at the moment, because my wardrobe budget is tiny, but if chosen well and taken care of, those items last just as long as any others. Regardless of the cost or origin, each item in the wardrobe deserves care to maximize its use and longevity. My clothes might be inexpensive, but I love them and never consider them disposable.

This is so helpful and informative! :) I have been struggling with finding my way into capsule wardrobes. Ever since I found your channel and those of Justine Leconte and Daria Adronescu, I have been temted to try it out. The problem is, I don't really have a set style. While my favourite and most worn style is "young put together feminine", I also occasionally like something very casual, or cool, or fierce and rock'n'roll. I wouldn't want to lose this form of expressing myself for the sake of sustainability. Do you think it is possible to build a capsule wardrobe around that, or would it be better to just stick to the other tips for a sustainable, ethical wardrobe and drop the capsule aspect? :) Have a lovely day!

you inspired me to look for more nicer basics. I shopped for a silk blouse. I found a gucci silk blouse and i bought it on a second hand site. It was 20 years old. But never worn. So you could say brand new. And normally it costs over a 1000 euros and i got it for 33 euros. It fits me like a glove. But the cleaning and washing is a bad thing. A family member who know how to wash it washes that item. And i like to have my daughter to wear it one day. And a long sleeve a white one from gucci too. It was normally 690 euros got it for 50 euros. I can wear it with a lot of things

You should really replace the wire hangers with wood that will be kinder to your clothes. Padded ones should be used for delicate fabrics or sweaters. And plastic boxes don't allow your clothes to breathe, encouraging mildew and bad smells.

Are you into sustainability in other areas of your life? (Like personal care items, furniture, cleaning products, food etc.) Just wondering...
@gloriapettro27596 жыл бұрын
she did a lot of videos about sustainable items and she also explained she would have done less of them because in Denmark is difficult in her area to find bulk products or products not wrapped in plastic, and I think some people judged her about this... I say, keep going, we love that kind of video... everyone does what she can!
