When a video is packed with information, backed up by science, >20 minutes long, the creator doesn't ask you to like and subscribe, instead refers to a credible other creator and indeed hasn't published another video in a year ... you know you came to the right place. This video is enough for hours, days, weeks, months perhaps even years of training. It doesn't lead to years of watching youtube videos. This is high quality information and ironically should get the kind of revenue the others are making with their addictive content provision.

I have to say, this is the perfect beginner training explanation I've ever seen. I wish this video existed 5 years ago when i started at the gym. Would have saved me so much time with trial and error going through the millions of videos online from thousands of fitness influencers. I'll be sure to share this video whenever one of my friends wants to start hitting the gym.
@sasagrcevic475
@sasagrcevic475 2 ай бұрын
There is no "beginner" training explanation. You figure out muscle groups, get exercises for them (nothing fancy or too much), do full body training 2 or 3 times a week and watch your diet a bit. And that's all there is to working out.

Hitting most of these points succesfully and noticing good muscle growth! Going to focus on going to failure more and sometimes trying to completely go for failure. Feels like the best thing to increase on right now.

Great video. Thanks man! Feeling good about going to the gym today. I've just had the simple idea of keeping a log of my weights and improving them systematically, always pushing a slightly higher weight (those 1.25kg discs become handy). I don't go super scientific with my eating, I just eat like a normal person but no sugar junk and I try to keep a hefty amount of protein and carbs and fats going on. So far getting quite good results in the 6 months I've gone to the gym again actively (I was active for years in 2014-2018, now getting back at it).

Very very interesting video. Learned quite a bit. Definitely did not know about the RIR concept till now. If I would prematurely stop an exercise while still having a few reps in the bag, I would typically feel bad about it - but did not know it is something that I can actually incorporate into the routine! Thanks a lot for this!

Yes, it's possible, but harder (IMHO), takes more time and needs some creative approach (or trainers). For example, you can look at ballet dancers and their legs, they work with their own body weight (for example, 3 hours per day, 6 days per week). Or gymnasts. But it takes hours daily. As for me, I don't want to spend so much time on this, that's why I prefer gym and 1 hour/day, 4 days/week.

I’m 6’8 and everyone’s always told me it’s no different then a shorter person… but it is. I have to travel 2x further. When I do bench press I feel more pain and failure in my elbows then my chest. Is that normal? Would be nice if you or Jeff can do a video like this for people 6’6 and up work outs lolZ
