On bedrock, by going into the files its completely easy and free to add your own skins (similar to the skin packs mentioned in this video) and add a cape to it. unfortunatly the capes wont come on their own but you can add any cape with any skin allowing for unlimited (albeit frustrating) customisabiltiy

I have all of the three common capes, an optifine cape, and a MinecraftCapes cape, along with the free bedrock ones, and some bedrock skin pack ones, including some which aren't available to get anymore

For bedrock players, there are super easy ways to get custom capes however, the easiest way requires u to have a cape but players should already have a free cape by default (pancape). A tutorial for iOS and pc is on a YT channel called crzzxy (a content creator who makes custom capes). There’s another way however called the bionic Ben which doesn’t need any capes to be owned already but it’s really hard. Also, for what capes i have (bedrock) I have the pride cape, the cherry blossom cape, the 15th anniversary cape, the bleeding heart twitch cape and lastly the pancape

Pretty good tutorial, although it has clearly aged very poorly. Also, the pancake cape is automatically applied for many people, they just need to press equip. Oh yeah, and Bedrock actually has cape skin packs too which are neat. Oh also, if you have a cape on Java but you don’t like how it looks, you can go into your skin files are retexture it to anything you want, but only you will be able to see the retexture.

I did not know there was a gay cap on bedrock for free I thought it was just the pan cape.

The LGBTQ+ cape used to be free, but it came with a map. Iirc the way to obtain it was removed because it is understandably controversial. It seemed like Minecraft was taking political sides and not being inclusive towards religious people and detransitioners, so although the cape still exists it’s way harder to get now. The pan cape is still possible for anyone to get though, although it used to be obtained differently back in the beta days. Minecraft bedrock has a lot of lore to it indeed. :p

Good video, though it's not true that most serious players use Optifine. Sodium has been the standard for the past few years now, due to being built for newer Minecraft versions and that it gives way better performance. Optifine, being built for older Minecraft takes forever to get updated to the newest versions of Minecraft. It took Optifine 3 months to get Optifine working for the latest version of Minecraft 1.20.4, while Sodium was updated the same day 1.20.4 came out. With Nvidium also out now, more and more players are switching to it too. So there is very little reason to buy the Optifine cape in 2024 when so few players use it.

The other free cape on Bedrock is the LGBT Cape, and I'm pretty sure you can just buy it for free from the Bedrock marketplace.

I never got the pride cape on bedrock cause it wasnt available in my country and i dont think its available anymore :( i have the founders cape which i like too but still im a little sad :( and the cherry blossom cape i only got it in Java and they never gave me the Bedrock version even though i voted

I remember back on Pocket Edition (In 2016 I think) there was a free bundle in the Skin settings that had every Minecon cape attached to Steve and Alex. I still use the same Microsoft account but I don't have those capes anymore which really sucks. I never hear anyone talk about this
