Other considerations: Does your municipality require the ebike have UL certification? NYC just started and I expect more will follow suit. If you’re eligible to receive a rebate or other incentive, check their requirements. For instance, some programs require e-bikes have at least a 2 year warranty, others require the ebike be purchased from a local participating physical store, so direct-to-consumer models are ineligible.

So it's safe to say that there is not one single, all-purpose e bike that will be the best for everyone. Lectric XP 3.0 is a good compromise for many folks.

@@ebikingtoday I did. I first got the Lectric xp and found it a bit too heavy after having ridden a lightweight road bike all my life, So I sold it and got a lighter, slightly smaller step thru that even tho it is not powerful, it suits me fine. I don't go fast and thee are no hills here.

@@pedrofernandez8729 There wasn't nearly as much to choose from even two years ago! Now everyone is selling ebikes and it's gotten harder to choose between them.
