Aubrey, the easiest way to have access to an auction is to get your brokerage license. It doesn’t allow you to resell to the public but it will give you dealer access. The barrier to entry is a heck of a lot lower than getting a full blown dealers license.
@AubreyJanik3 жыл бұрын
I will look into that! I have looked into a dealers license, but the requirements are crazy - I know here in Texas you have to have a brick and mortar location of some kind. Thank you for the suggestion!
@martinreid40483 жыл бұрын
@@AubreyJanik same here in NC but for a brokers license you just need an office space not a whole brick and mortar.

Hi Aubrey. Love your videos. I live about 40 minutes out of Portland Oregon, in Columbia County, where I would be primarily serving Scappoose (population 9000) and St. Helens (population 15,000). While there are many Turo operators in Portland, there are NONE in my county. There is probably little tourist/business traffic here, but I was thinking of starting with a couple inexpensive Ford Focus type vehicles for locals whose car might be in the shop or who temporarily need an extra car. I also have a nice 2014 Ram pickup (with a canopy) that I can add to the mix. An inexpensive pickup might prove popular for people who are moving or temporarily need a truck. Any thoughts on the practicality of a successful Turo operation given my market dynamics?

Quick question. From Turo’s website they say that the car has to be a 2014 or newer with less than 130k miles. How are you able to rent 2007 vehicles? Thanks in advance!

I am thinking about running some advertising for "I BUY CARS" with my phone number on it. I am thinking maybe magnet signs that I can move from car to car.. Just an idea to find locals instead of dealers... Have not tried it yet but it is a successful marketing strategy for real estate property purchasing. One guy made shirts saying I buy houses. I am thinking change it to cars :) If you find a successful strategy I am all ears :) Thanks again for your content!

Let me know how this goes! I have been debating on doing this forever, but have never pulled the trigger because people would be contacting me for 20+ year old beaters lol, but I think it is a great idea!

I have a 2018 Toyota Corolla fully paid off and has 130,000 miles on it. I was considering renting it on Turo or selling it and buying two cars with the money and renting two cars. What’s your opinion?
@RoxStar_eth Жыл бұрын
I’d sell it for 2 budget cars personally

Thanks for step by step process on getting into the market and how to get a car. I am curious as someone who would like to get into Turo in the near future, what is the goal or purpose with every car you buy? Do you buy the cars to just have them make passive income and pay themselves off? Do you care enough to keep them after? Do you just trade up to newer cars? Etc... Good video. Keep them coming.

It's purely just an investment vehicle - We want to buy cars that will make good month by month cash flow, but we don't really have any sort of ulterior motive other than that. If we didn't use our cars for Turo we wouldn't own them, so we don't look for ones that we would want to keep and drive ourselves after they are done being rented. Reliability and Cost are our 2 biggest priorities when buying a car

Love your delivery👌🏼 What’s your opinion on using a leased car for Turo? Probably less profit, but you would have some coverage. Specially Kia or Hyundai with 5 years bumper to bumper warranty. Thanks! Great channel!

how do you list cars that old though? Isnt the turo requirements 12 y.o or newer? I dont think a 2006 yaris would be considered a "classic" LOL

12 years or newer, so a 2009, once we are in 2022 it will flip up to a 2010....I wish a 2006 Yaris was considered a classic lol!

@@AubreyJanik Really, I say it will never recover. Dealerships are making the same if not more profit than ever with the car shortage, they know what people are willing to pay now, so where's the incentive to work harder to sell more cars for the same or even less annual profit? Unless a snowball effect of a crap ton of people getting repo'd when they can't afford their loan anymore causes a dump of cars into the market, these high prices are here to stay permanently.
