The running feet of cove will be multiplied by 3 in this case.

Hi I have been watching your videos & they are very informative. Can you please tell me if only peripheral false ceiling (side tray) is possible & what will be the approximate cost per square feet?
@simplyinteriors3 жыл бұрын
The ceiling shown in the video is a peripheral false ceiling. It is possible. Cost will depend on the contractor and material and will be around Rs.70-80 per sft plus cost of paint, electrical wiring etc but measurement will also include running feet for coves.

My doubt is when you calculate the running feet, it is actually not to be priced same as per sqft rate correct. For example the Cove height is 3 inches, now if it is one feet running length then actually I'm having only (1X0.25) 0.25 sqft . So 0.25 x (per sqft cost) should be the calculation. If you say inside and outside can be taken as 1 feet atleast it is reasonable. As the inside and outside both together we will get approx 9 inches. But while calculation, taking it 2 times when calculating running feet is making customer are paying extra. People will argue saying it is not only the board it is labour and aluminium channel...all these things are included in the per sqft rate already. I'm only asking when you are not giving sqft don't charge for sqft.

Hi Vivek, usually anything where one of the two dimensions are less than 1' is not charged in sft but in rft. The same is true for coves in false ceiling as well. The rates are same here because of the extra effort of the people as well as extra material (wastage is higher and requirement of things like aluminium channels as well as screws is much more). Kindly note that this is how every contractor charges. We work within the same ecosystem and have to work with the same manpower. And truthfully, its easier to do this instead of taking sft and then taking different rates for coves and different rates for the ceiling.

Yes Anupam. This video is made without a mic and since it was an empty room, there was lot of echo. Apologies for the same but hope the content was clear. Thanks for the appreciation.

One suggestion, Dont do like a duct type where the sprinker is. The discharge presser of water from sprinkler would be more it will fall about 3m away.
@simplyinteriors3 жыл бұрын
We usually prefer to get it extended. In some cases like here, the builder did not allow and hence the duct had to be made.

This is a bit old but around 30K for the ceiling is a rough estimate. Cost of electrical wiring and paint will be extra.
