How to calibrate the speedometer on a Yamaha WR250F FOR FREE!!!!

In this video I will show you how to calibrate and correct the ever so common inaccurate Yamaha digital speedometer on a 2020 WR250F.

I installed a Ryco Moto kit as seen here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/ryco-enduro-lighting-kit-p It was easy install, but I had to read some of the instructions a few to understand what they were trying to tell me. It works great and the fit and finish looks factory

I’m not certain as I have only done it on a 2020 WR250F. I would imagine the gauge cluster is exactly the same. So my guess is: Yes, you can do this on a 2020 WR450F. Try it and please let me know.

@@MontageCreativeGroup I Googled an image of the R speedo unit and it is similar but different. So did you get your speedometer on your R calibrated? And it was the way same as the F?

Do you think you could fix that even if the guy I'm looking at it from says it reads like 180mph at 60mph

You would need to try it. From the factory it is set at 100:0C AKA 100 percent. It can be adjusted to as low as 65:0C AKA 65 percent. To correct it being as far off as the one you have it would need to adjust down to 33.0C AKA 33 percent. Also, make certain it is set in MPH and not KPH. Great video. On an aside, what's it like going long distance on the pavement? What speeds and durations can you manage?

The bike will go 75mph+ but the motor is revved to the max. When on pavement I like to keep it between 60-65mph. Also, I put a Seat Concept Comfort Plus seat on the bike. Although it’s more comfortable than the stock seat, it is nice to get off the bike for a bit after about an hour. I’ve done several rides over 200 miles in a day.
