the proper air pressure for your vehicle is based on the vehicle not the tire max pressure. read the inside door jamb on the drivers door for the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure for your vehicles. to high of pressure will cause loose feeling in steering and too low can cause excessive heat buildup.

look in the door frame of the drivers door. their is a sticker that will tell you manufacture recommended tire pressure and sizes. all cars have it.

That only applies to the original tires. All tires are different, so if you switch brands, you should check what you max is and do 10 less. More air means a little better gas mileage because of the less drag on the rubber.

Always follow the markings on your tire the door sticker is for OEM tires only

When you let pressure out, the back of the pressure tool is actually used to remove pressure, no need for a knife, check it out, you will thank me lol

If your impala does not have the button to relearn just hold the lock and unlock buttons on the car keys with the electric on until it beeps twice and gives the relearn message.

Thank you for this I tried doing this myself managed to do the front two tires but when trying to do the rear it didn’t light the bulbs at the back - and when looked at the panel it had said press tick symbol to relearn the tires and it just seemed had timed out - but thank you again

I have done this so many times and it works sometimes... After I drive for a bit one or more tires will start to "fail" on the sensor, display -- for pressure and the light comes on, sometimes one or two don't work regardless, it is random, I have no more ideas.

We can't see / read minu as you scroll because camera isn't in a good position. And you did menu calibration change to quickly. Slow down and hold camera so we can see what you're doing. Thanks

Pretty sure five years later you figured it out but the back of that pressure gauge reader is a deflation pin it's that little knob on the back of the head are opposing side of the tire check inlet

You're better off going by the cars recommendation usually on the inside of the drivers door. Good job though and thanks for showing me how to reset. My used Impala didn't come with a manual.

You also want to look inside your car door to see what your car says the pressure should measure. The tire gives you the range, but the car tells you where it should be, yeah?

Didn’t work for me on my 2008 Impala LS. Tried 20 times! I had to buy the TPMS GM relearn tool, which is a handheld device (uses 9v battery) on eBay for $20, and hold against each tire to make it work.

It didn't work at all. I ended up wasting time letting air out of all of my tires. And filling them back up. When I made that comment about 4 days ago I thought it was saving me time by watching the video. But once I actually tryed the method it ended up not working. 😕
