How to Capture PS5 in OBS WITHOUT Capture Card! [2021]

If you want to learn how to capture your PS5 footage without the use of an Elgato or some other capture card device, you've come to the right place. The process is pretty simple, albeit the final product being inferior to the real thing if you're trying to stream using WiFi as I happened to in this video. Ethernet is always going to be your best bet. And when I mention Ethernet, I mean a cable in your computer to your router, as well as a cable from your router to your PS5. This method still gives you the versatility to customize your stream to your liking and is better than just using the built-in Twitch app on your Playstation 5, if you ask me.

Found a way bro so basically if you have a ps5 mic one of the ps mics yk js connect the usb to the back of your pc then switch all the audio to the headset in and out put then on obs js record your mic audio with your actual microphone to the in put audio on obs should pick up your friends voices and your mic would pick up yours I’ll drop a video soon on it

Sorry for the late response. I've replied to a lot of comments saying that I use discord or xbox game bar to talk to (and stream audio from) people I play with online. As far as game chat, I don't really use it personally, so I'm not sure. My own audio comes from my microphone plugged into the computer via USB.

I run ethernet cable into my ps5 and I still have input lag. Any suggestions, because I really don't want to have to rebuy my ps5 games, and not have to buy a $150 capture card. With Ps5 remote play I have input lag, for example: when I jump on a game like cod mw2 it would jump a couple milliseconds late. And my gaming laptop doesn't even have a ethernet cable port.

Thanks for the sub! This is a good temporary method if you're on a budget and trying to save up for a card or to just see if you enjoy streaming. The card will give you a better image 9 times outta 10.

To your first question, yes. It wouldn't be as good as an ethernet connection, but it'll work. To the second, I don't think so. It does look like you can connect the PS5 camera to your pc instead of the console and possibly use it that way, but I'm not sure.

It's all dependent on your internet speed and consistency. Like I said in the video, I recommend looking at your TV to play the game instead of your pc's monitor so latency isn't an issue.

I'd check the audio sample rate. Update the Elgato firmware through the 4k Capture Utility. Make sure that HDCP is disabled on the PS5. Test record and see if the issue persists.
