Hi Jackie. You plant is really beautiful. Mine getting yellowish- brown tips all the time. I live in Montego Bay Jamaica where it is warm
@jackiesplanthaven Жыл бұрын
You have the perfect temperature for these cool plants. Do you have it in full sun? Mine does not get direct exposure to the sun and I also use a humidifier.
@newphone5112 Жыл бұрын
It's exposed to the morning sun between the hours of 8:30 -9:30

Did you receive your plant?
@ayanam5102 жыл бұрын
@@jackiesplanthavenYes and I love it! I potted it in a cement planter with your suggested potting mix, and I put it in my GH , it has grown 4 new leaves. I have made the mistake of overwatering it in the past which was why I could not keep it alive. TY you for your video🥰.

How long does this plant take to push out a new leaf? It seems as though new leaves take ages to come out.
@jackiesplanthaven3 жыл бұрын
It grows faster in the growing season. I keep a plant journal so I can say for this one it had 7 leaves on March 20, 2021 and now it has 9 leaves and flowering. So that’s 2 new leaves in just over 2 months.

Can you bottom water this plant?
@jackiesplanthaven3 жыл бұрын
Definitely! I bottom water all my plants. This one needs a chunky soil mix so bottom watering is quite easy.

What number do you use on your moisture meter to know when to water?
@jackiesplanthaven3 жыл бұрын
I water when the reading is at 3 and below.
@jeffzimmerman253 жыл бұрын
@@jackiesplanthaven thanks! I ordered one and it is supposed to be here today 👍 I water all my Alocasia when they hit a 3 so I'll try that on the Clarinervium too.
@jackiesplanthaven3 жыл бұрын
@@jeffzimmerman25 The Clarinervium will definitely get root rot if overwatered. I lost my first one to that so I made sure to adjust once I replaced it. It loves to dry out between watering but not completely dry.
