Bone tactical can we get a little bit of durability test on that blade? Ceramic is harder and sharper than steel, but it is also way more brittle. Which is why I have stayed away from ceramic when it comes to that type of blade. I do realize that a cutting edge is an advantage. I have a g10 punch dagger because I would be using it more for poking hole than slashing. What I want to see is you drop ceramic side on cement, also maybe slap ceramic flat side on edge of table or slash up a 2x4. I have always been concerned with the ceramic breaking at the worst time. Hopefully you will sell me on ceramic for the type of blade, and yes of course I will purchase from bone tactical if I do go that route.

acesburn 23 I encourage you to learn to relate tools to their purpose as well as to read the write up on the website for this knife as it goes into that. Every tool has pros and cons, you shouldn’t be dropping or smashing ceramic knives the same way you shouldn’t leave steel knives out to rust.

@@BoneTactical I'll definitely take a look at this blade on your website. I have checked out your website but not this particular blade. I do understand you shouldn't go around smashing a ceramic blade on things or using it the same way you would another working blade. Mostly I'm curious to how it would hold up if i had to use it as intended. My concern is if I ever have it collide into bone and it fracturing before the situation is over with. Maybe I have to deal with more than one guy. I have been interested in this type for a while now and that's always been my biggest concern with ceramic. The test I suggested was more to demonstrate the limitations, and what it's capable of withstanding. I will say I am a fan of your design alot more than other ceramic blades I have seen out there. The package as a whole is put together very well sheath and all. The tests I suggested are mostly to address the concerns I have had when it comes to ceramic. I chose g10 only because I wasn't sure if the ceramic would hold up.

I carry a one pound tungsten carbide ball (egg shaped) on a 34" stainless rope chain around my neck. All gold plated. Looks like jewelry but you can crack open 3 sculls in 7 seconds when you learn how to swing it. It can also break 2" bulletproof glass and break through 1/8" thick steel in seconds. If they catch the rope you can rip their fingers off easy with a quick pull&kick or 180 twist and back throw. Tungsten carbide is way harder than carbon steel and twice the weight, heavy as Gold. 1 lb. ball is only 1.2" round! Indestructible. Been through 100's of airports with it. The screen actually highlighted items of, again I'm guessing, a certain size/shape/density/bulk if they were on your person. One poor woman a few spaces ahead of me was probably two seconds away from being detained, because the machine thought she was carrying something about 10 inches long concealed on her back. It was very quickly realized by the TSA technician that the machine was highlighting her braided hair and not some kind of weapon, and it was all nervous laughter and, "that's so cool!" for a few moments after that. But her face was the image of pure fear for the brief instance beforehand. I don't really have a point here, it was just something this video brought to mind. @@risingforce9291 Not carbon fiber, it is a conductors in most cases which pops on a magnetometer. Most people who sold NPE tools in CF have recalled them for that reason. Usually with G10 or ceramic. I do agree an ice pick would work but smaller hole, larger grip would make it more difficult to carry discreetly. It will puncture for sure. I've seen some nasty concealed NPEs that are hollow and act like a 1/4" drain tube.

There are a lot of ceramic knifes for cheaper but just like u said to have the peace of mind that there is no metal is well worth buying from bone Also a clinch pic version would be awesome

Most ceramic knives have metal in the handle. People have ground off the blade with a Dremel and mounted it in a wooden or plastic handle free of metal.

I have many kitchen knives with ceramic blade, and in many store they are available with white and black blade. HERE IS MY QUESTION : Can you have your ceramic knife with a black blade ? I definitely think it would be a great commercial success !!!
@seanc80543 жыл бұрын
most companies put things in their ceramic blades to stop people from doing what he's talking about in this video, , any kitchen made ceramic knife will def have metal inside it, they put it in there on purpose.
@phl_knives3 жыл бұрын
A black ceramic blade could be achieved with a coating but not commonly done. Ceramic is cost prohibitive to coat. With cure time and material cost it would add a minimum of 10-15- per piece. As for most kitchen knives they have hidden steel pins locking the blade to the handles. The blade isn't a full tang so it needs something to prevent moment in curing and reduce c people carrying them

does the fact that your version contains no metal make it traceable since other versions have metal? if this was evidence, would authorities open it up to check in order to trace it back to the maker? I wasnt able to get this answer, so I thought id just ask you. Do you make custom versions of this? Keep up the good work man. love your products.
@BoneTactical2 жыл бұрын
I answered that question in detail in the video and in the website description. It’s untraceable. Can’t be more clear on this. Custom order start with a $1000 nonrefundable deposit and I currently have an approximately six month waiting list
