In other words I can load the g-code from vcarve on a thumb drive to run my controller. Can I also load the easel g-code on a thumb drive and plug it into my controller? I really like the way easel allows you to set up a stacked text project.

Question for you. How does a 2 layer pass work? I've only been using my CNC for 3 weeks so I'm a full-on rookie. Everything you explained is very detailed but I'm not sure how you would change the bits for the second detailed pass. Does the program know to stop, and then you just pop in the 2nd bit? Or do you have to pause when it looks like the first layer is done? Please advise, thank you!
@PawPawsWorkShop4 жыл бұрын
In two stage carving using Easel, you set up both bits in the software. Run the roughing pass first. When finished the machine will be at the x,y 0 position. You will need to change the bit to the set in the program for the detail pass. You will need to use the probe and zero the z axis again, then run the detail pass. Follow the checklist in Easel. Be careful not to move the machine when changing the bit. You need to keep the x,y 0 position consistent.
