For me I can’t cast. When I try to cast I can’t. I’m trying to pair my headset with the five digit code thing, but when it says look into the headset for a 5 digit code nothing shows up on the screen.

This option doesn't seem to show up currently on the Quest 3 and Meta app as of November 2023 :( Yes, all devices are on the same network - but the menu should at least be available.

It does not cast to ‘any’ device - in fact, you may find it very difficult to cast the quest to any device at all. I tried to cast to my brother’s PC - caused a fatal error which kept his computer from booting up. Other devices in the home weren’t even showing up.

can anyone troubleshoot or send me somewhere to help me cast to an iphone? Yes they're on the same wifi, yes theyre both updated to the latest os. I can't cast or connect to my phone from the oculus for the life of me, the oculus doesn't even pop up on my list of bluetooth devices on my iphone. Someone mentioned "clearing the bluetooth cache" but this would mean unpairing everything I'm currently using on my phone (headphone, watch etc.), is it worth it? Also I seem to encounter a problem using the meta quest app where if I back out of it to my home screen and try to open it back up I get a perpetual grey screen, I can't even restart it to get back to any menus, I had to literally delete the app and reinstall it. I did find later that if I turn off and turn on bluetooth on my phone, I can get back to the menus on the phone app. I don't know, its beyond f***ing frustrating. I had an oculus Go years ago that connected to my phone easier, I figured 4 years later they would have this streamlined but I guess I was utterly wrong.

I talk to support from meta it was a known issue when you encountered a grey screen. Try performing a factory reset if issues persist this is indeed a known issue. That was the last troubleshooting steps they offered me to do.

Those graphics are worse than we had 20 years ago.There are far superior golf games out there if you have decent equipment. This reviewer thinks that golf game in this video is the best ever - I immediately thought 'must be an apple owner' - absolutely no clue about gaming but content and very confident in his ignorance. Those headsets have such primitive rendering and processing abilities - wait until you play using a decent vr headset hooked up to a mid range gaming rig that handles processing and rendering. Then vr becomes pretty impressive and immersive - and not just a gimmick like those headsets he's using.

@@virtuserable The problem I have with this headset - is that VR is supposed to immersive - but the graphics are so poor that they destroy the immersion - there is no suspension of disbelief. So it ends up being an unreal virtual experience. Fun for basic games and kiddies.

@@RickOShay I disagree. Even with the limitations the experience is very immersive. It also brings the cost of entry down so more people can enjoy it. The ability to play in very limited space is also an advantage over the "premium" headsets. It's also faster and simpler to get up and running, another advantage. You sound like you've never actually used one, so maybe try one before you shit on something many people enjoy. I'm a 50 year old trucker, and the meta quest had made it possible to enjoy vr gaming inside the truck. NONE of the PC based headsets will work in my very small space. I have a vr capable gaming laptop and a steam deck as well.

It's a stand-alone headset powered by a phone processor of course the graphics won't be that good unless you connect to a gaming PC for full PCVR which looks incredible if your PC is fast enough

@@CNET I was able to stream when I plugged a Chrome cast into the VIZIO TV but when using the chromnecast built into the TV I got an error message on the Quest 3 headset. "Chromecast is not fully supported load and may experience issues. For the best experience, mirror with your mobile app or computer. I do not know what to do ?
