Awesome Andy. What about one for the beginners to pole fishing. How to set up their box, hold their pole and how to set up their pole rollers all in 1 go. Im sure alot of anglers wanting to get into pole fishing are put off due to fear they cant hold a pole at 13, 14.5 and 16m

Brilliant Andy thank you. I actually feel physically sick when I cast. It’s like over thinking a golf swing and it all goes to pot. One question…do you therefore have to clip up with your rod pointing at 12 o’clock too?

Thank you for the tips Andy il be going fishing Tomatin and I'm going to spend sometime casting in using your tips cos my casting is rubbish when I pull my rod back to cast in it mostly doesn't land where its meant to I didn't know it be because the feeder will be doing a loop motion as I do what you said not to do when pulling my rod back over my right shoulder and I can now use your tip to correct that thanks

Nice, could you show, how to cast when you have very long leaders like 1.5meters long for river bream fishing ? your swing is naturaly limited to back, because of tree grass or shore going up how to cast then ?

Nice 1st vid coach. How would you go about finding an accurate depth if you only intend to pop up bread on a feeder rod to say, fish mid water? Would it be a 'best estimate' counting a bomb down in seconds or am I better casting out with a large float attached and let it rise to the surface ?

i have issues when i have wind coming from right side, and i use like 1.2m length leaders, and when i just swing forward and back its 100% tangle for my hook in to the rod line...because wind is pushing it across the rod.. so i have kinda to swing thrue my left shoulder and that realy messes up my aim. How to do it properly when you are right handed and you have strong wind from the right ?

It's hard to say without seeing what exactly you're doing. However, using a heavier feeder and speeding the cast up would help you maintain your accuracy.

Brilliant video. Great lineup now at Preston! Feathering… is this whereby you let line run against the finger as it’s casting or simply the rod at 12 o’clock slowing the line slightly? Cheers
@UKprestoninnovations
@UKprestoninnovations 2 жыл бұрын
A little bit of both. Feathering is generally trapping the line with your finger to stop the line and gently ease the float or feeder into the water. the same can be achieved with the line clip
@dt1607
@dt1607 2 жыл бұрын
@@UKprestoninnovations no it's not, you feather the line PRIOR to tapping

On floats, you find the numbers 4 x 10, 4 x 12, 4 x 14. But what does this numbers mean?
@UKprestoninnovations

I have to laugh with top anglers, they spend years with one company, and then a big cheque comes along and they try to tell you about the wonderful gear the new company sells. Bit like boiler reps, they tell you how wonderful there company’s products are, then they leave for another manufacturer and try to convince you the new firm is the business.
