Last year I came back to fishing after a long absence, my friend bought me a license for my 70th birthday. I'm pretty crap at casting on the feeder, this video was brilliant, it made me see what I was doing wrong, pretty much everything to be honest. So tomorrow I will be at the lake side trying to remember exactly what and how to do it! Cheers my friend, excellent video, wish me luck.

Great video Ben Went out immediately after watching to try for myself Couldn’t be bothered walking to retrieve lead though! 1 sharp sweep backwards freed it from the lawn I think I woke up around an hour later!

Suggestions for vids mate for the younger generation to keep them interested,shotting patterns,how to load your reel correctly a lot of videos on here get it wrong,how to tie a hook,bait prep I think your vids are informative and easy to follow,and I think the younger generation and beginners will benefit 👍

I used to do this many many years ago,but I used to use a my dads cement bucket I would sit for hours practicing this method, great way to learn so long as you’ve got plenty of space, and no overhead obstrution cables, trees 👍

Hi again Ben, I know I’m late to this particular party , I obviously understand your point about accuracy. My question is , if you are fishing to a clip, how then do you cater for a fish grabbing your bait and wanting to take line ? ..I imagine you would need to unclip once you’ve made your cast, but then surely you cannot achieve the same accuracy on the recast…or am I missing something? Thanks for a great tutorial pal .

Hi you can tie a little cotton as a marker or use measuring sticks or even turns on the reel.

Hi Ben, This may be a stupid question, but after you cast should you undo the clip otherwise the bait runner won't work and the fish could pull your rod in. But if you undo it won't you have to start all over again
@Angling4U4 жыл бұрын
Not usually Robert most commercials your to a feature so not a problem but tieing a bit of cotton on the line as a guide or using measuring stick if you have to remove the clip.

Nice, that for me as 2nd feader season, to know why i was strugling to cast straight, randomly goes to left or right, i was thinking that shorter the line to the tip before cast, is for better accuracy but its like i had to get it longer so i could get better pendulum thing. Also i wonder, when your clip is setup, how many times of 10 casts you can hit the table/target ?
