I'm stuck on shore now at 77 yrs. old. Not safe in a boat or yak anymore. Still learn from every video. Please keep them coming,

Hey Jim, good for you! I wouldnt look at it as stuck on the shore. You are just mastering another way of fishing. When I was a kid I fished from the shore all the time and I always had so much fun and enjoyment. Fishing makes you feel like a kid again weather you are in a boat, kayak, or on shore. Get after it my friend and enjoy it. God bless you!

Thanks, great advice. You stress perfectly rigging flukes so this might drive you crazy. But ive rigged flukes through the side where the nose and tail curve up a bit. The fluke will plane up and over cover and jump nose up on the jerk. But when you get it in to holes it can sink with a falling leaf action. This has worked for me in very shallow water. The weighless flukes barely make a noise when they land.

Hello Sir: Last week I watched this video and your grass lake video. They got me pumped up. Friday afternoon I rigged up some of your ideas, signed my kid out of school early and we hit the water together. We have a grass and pad-choked pond about 10min from the house. We didn't crush them but we found a good pattern. I am picking up some Gambler Big EZ baits today. Thank you for what you do.

This whole video was a Florida staple. Good stuff Gene. I have all those baits and setups in my arsenal, but I still struggle in the pads if they won't chase. It's hit or miss for me. Going to try and slow down my next outing.

Those pads aren't thick. I'd try spinner bait buzz buzz inline spinner in addition to what you suggested.
