The location change was the ticket. You taught this old dog a new trick. I've never tried those for bluegills. I'm going to have to remember that when I want to catch a few bluegills for bait. I always have a couple jars of those in my tackle box.

@@RealisticFishing if you ever go catfishing, use 3-5 inch bluegill. Blues DEVOUR them. (any pan fish that size will work.) Expect 10+ pounds.

When the bass bite slows at my local lake, I go to the crappie jigs and nibbles from Walmart and start catching bluegill and yellow perch. Love the videos. Randy

Good call with the spot change. Alot of folks will fish a single spot, not catch anything, and think that the fish just aren't biting. Those crappie nibbles sure did the trick. Magnum bluegill brother, awesome stuff!!

I used to use crappie nibbles and tiny tube jigs. Transitioned to Gulp Maggots a few years ago. Seem to stay on the hook better, and less messy for me. The nibbles did work well though! Nice looking Bluegills!

Hi I'm a new subscriber and I really like your show I've been watching it for a long time and I just happened to see some old videos that you made and that you got some deals on some bitsy minnows well I use them a lot I troll for crappie and bluegill and I have a dozen or more of those different colored bitsy minnows and I catch a lot of crap East just thought I'd let you know try them sometime if you if you want to when maybe when you go out in your boat try trolling them keep it up

I think you said one of the smartest most basic things but makes so much sense about moving if you’re not catching anything. There are times where I’ve waited two hours in one spot in my family is going crazy because we’re not catching anything. Why not just move to another location. Even though sometimes when your family is with you it’s quite a chore LOL. But great points all around! Sidenote for some reason I thought you were saying Crappie Nipples 🤣🤪

I had great luck last year using Berkley Gulp minnows of various sizes. Just hook them behind their ‘dorsal fin’ and use them like the crappie nibbles.

Been on these for a few years. Always carry hot pink and chartreuse, but pink hits better. I’ve never been skunked using these.

Big fan of the crappie nibbles. It's like a mini chum slick. They work great on the tenkara fly rod setup. They fall off after a while, but more productive than not. For me, the white and beige work best.

Have 8 cans different colors my go to.... with a red worm, blue worm or baby night crawler on the hook same time tiped with a gulp wax worm to keep everything on hook. Killer panfish getter!!!

One of my favorite things to do Bluegill fish , not sure if you have tried it before or not ? but you can take a Trout magnet I think the 1/64 oz size and a pack of Gulp minnows the small 2 inch ones Smelt or chartreuse color and float them about 1 foot or 2 foot under a float or Slip float they absolute love it here in my area southwest Virginia ... give it try Im sure you would love it

Have you found a difference between the Berkley crappie nibbles and the Magic Bait brand as far as fish catching? Perhaps do a head to head to see which is better.

Just leave the cap off the container overnight, and the crappie nibbles will toughen up, and get a little rubbery and stay on much better.

We're those nibble chartus or white to much glare. I have been catching golden trout on the chartuse nibbles bought some glitter green and a gold color with glitter have you tried them and if so what was your outcome.
